Diana asserted with an air of authority, "No way! Not only are you leaving, but you're also handing over all your designs!"
Natalia glanced at Diana. "Miss Diana, designs are a product of a designer's genuine emotions and inspirations, embodying their utmost efforts. Mangolia isn't something that can be easily controlled. I've submitted all related designs, and the rest have nothing to do with Stitches Fashion, so I'd appreciate it if you'd respect that!"
Diana turned green with rage. "Look at her, William! She's so arrogant and even dares talk back to me!"
"Shut up!" William glared at Diana, then turned to Natalia with an apologetic look. "Natalia, I'm sorry about this. If you have any requests, we'll do our best to accommodate them."
"No need. I'd like you to leave immediately! We're moving out of this city soon. Your attitudes make me sick!" Hector strode forward, having returned just in time to witness the situation. His temper flared.
Knowing he was in the wrong, William pulled Diana away. As they left, he turned back to Natalia. "Natalia, I'll email you the contract termination later. I hope you find better opportunities."
"Thank you," Natalia responded with a hint of melancholy.
After William and Diana left, Natalia explained the whole situation to Hector, who was fuming. "Natalia, let's leave this godforsaken place today. We'll find a more peaceful place, away from these deceitful bastards."
Natalia lowered her gaze, whispering a quiet, "Okay."
Soon, William sent over the one-sided termination contract. With Hector's urging her, Natalia quickly packed a few clothes and left the city of Rome with him.
Sitting on the plane, watching Rome grow distant, a wave of sadness washed over Natalia.
Goodbye, Rome. Goodbye, Magnus.
A few days later, Magnus arrived in Rome again, this time accompanied by James.
His official reason for the visit was to handle business, personally overseeing the Mangolia brand's launch. However, even James knew the real reason – Magnus was still hopeful of finding Natalia in Rome.
If Mangolia successfully launched, would Natalia be content remaining behind the scenes? This time, he was determined to meet her in person. He didn't believe she had stopped loving him. He believed she would show up.
The grand launch event took place that evening, with numerous media outlets ready to cover the business spectacle.
Magnus maintained a stoic expression throughout, showing clear resistance towards a clingy Diana. "Mr. Andersen, why are you ignoring me?" Diana pouted, tugging at Magnus' sleeve.
Due to the presence of many reporters, Magnus didn't shake her off, but warned her quietly, "There are many people here. We need to maintain our image."
Diana smirked, moving even closer to Magnus.
Delighted, Diana mustered all her strength to help Magnus. They staggered towards the hotel's luxury suite.
The scene was quickly captured by the alert journalist, who added another note. [Mr. Andersen is heavily drunk, his new girlfriend helps him, both entering the hotel suite.]
Once inside, Magnus collapsed onto the large hotel bed.
The journey had taken a toll on Diana, leaving her drenched in sweat and reeking. After tucking Magnus into bed, Diana knew that the moment she had been patiently waiting for had finally arrived. But, glancing down at her sweaty self, she decided to freshen up first. She stripped off her clothes as she sauntered towards the ensuite bathroom.
She planned to indulge in a soothing bath, and then spend a passionate evening with the man she had been yearning for.
After a quick yet rejuvenating bubble bath, Diana, wrapped in a towel, stepped out of the bathroom only for her heart to skip a beat. The bed was empty. Magnus was nowhere to be seen.
Her eyes darted around in surprise and landed on Magnus, who was sitting upright on a nearby couch. "Mr. Andersen, why...?" She started, but her sentence was cut short by a strange, yet enticing aroma. Her head felt light, and she crumbled onto the bed.
Magnus, however, was perfectly alert, showing no signs of the drunken stupor he had feigned earlier. All this had been part of his master plan. He knew about Diana's lustful intentions towards him and decided to play along.
He had faked his drunkenness, intentionally allowing the paparazzi to capture images of him and Diana entering and exiting the hotel.
