The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 309

Chapter 309 Conflict

As an Enigma Realm fighter of Preliminary Rank, Jacqueline’s speed was simply beyond what an

ordinary person like Alisha could react to or defend against.

It was clear that Jacqueline’s straightforward and efficient method of slapping someone wasn’t her first time.

Slap!

A crisp sound echoed.

A figure was sent flying, crashing into a chair with such force that it shattered instantly.

However, everyone was left dumbfounded.

The person who was sent flying was not Alisha but Jacqueline.

The person who slapped her was Finnegan. Unbeknownst to her, he had positioned himself in front of

Alisha, striking Jacqueline with a slap before anyone else could.

Upon regaining her senses, Alisha was deeply moved. “Finnegan!”

Jacqueline was Marisol’s most cherished god-granddaughter. Theoden had always taken care of the

people at Fleur Villa. Furthermore, Jacqueline’s master was the president of Southern Martial Arts Alliance.

Hence, she was almost fully prepared to take the slap.

As it turned out, Finnegan stepped forward to protect her, even going so far as to teach Jacqueline a

lesson.

Finnegan dusted off his hands. “Don’t be too touched. I simply can’t stand those who flaunt their power

and influence just because they have a strong background.”

Without Marisol, Theoden, or a master of Southern Martial Arts Alliance, Jacqueline was nothing

Therefore, there was nothing for her to be proud of.

Jacques regained his composure, furiously declaring, “Brat, you’re done for! This time, you’re for. Jacqueline is-”

Before Jacques could finish speaking, Finnegan had already raised his hand and struck the vase be him.

The vase flew directly across the room, striking Jacques squarely on the head

With a resounding crack, Jacques let out a piercing cry of pain.

The entire person, along with the wheelchair, had fallen to the ground.

“How audacious!”

Jacqueline, however, was resilient. With a swift roll, she stood up, ignoring the pain in her back and

face as she charged toward Finnegan.

Alisha urgently said, “Jacqueline, stop immediately!”

Having never suffered such a loss from childhood to adulthood, Jacqueline wasn’t going to hold back.

Moreover, she had always believed that without Marisol, there would be no Wahlstrom family. Hence,

she wouldn’t take Alisha’s words to heart.

Rushing forward, she lifted her right leg high and brought it down directly onto Finnegan.

She intended to break Finnegan’s shoulder, to force Finnegan to kneel at her feet.

However, all it took was for Finnegan to lift his hand and grasp her ankle, causing her to assume the splits stance.

Jacqueline wanted to pull her leg back but found it nearly impossible to break free from Finnegan’s

grip, which was as strong as a pair of pliers.

“Let me go!”

A playful smirk tugged at the corner of Finnegan’s mouth. “This position isn’t bad!”

The teasing words only served to further infuriate Jacqueline. With a delicate cry, she hopped up on

one leg, sweeping toward Finnegan, intending to force him to let her go.

However, Finnegan showed no intention of letting go. He lifted his left hand to grasp her other leg.

Suddenly, Jacqueline lost her balance completely, and her legs were under Finnegan’s control.

And in the next moment, Finnegan gripped her legs and began to spin on the spot. Then, like throwing

a shot put, he hurled her straight out from the doorway.

However, he had controlled his strength well, causing Jacqueline pain but not threatening her life.

With a loud crash, Jacqueline hit the ground, rolling over ten meters before finally coming to a halt. She

looked utterly disheveled and in a state of complete disarray.

The fury within her became increasingly uncontrollable.

With a delicate cry, she leaped up once again, charging toward Finnegan. “I’m going to kill

Finnegan squinted his eyes. “It seems the lesson wasn’t enough.”
