The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 244

Chapter 244 Reel In The Net

On the outskirts of Jadeborough, an abandoned glasses factory stood in silence.

Several unlit cars approached quietly and came to a stop.

One of the car doors opened. Finnegan, Romona, and Alisha walked out successively.

A dozen or so people emerged from the darkness on one side.

Leading the group were Felix and a girl in a light blue dress, looking exquisite and lovely.

“Finnegan.”

Finnegan nodded and turned his

on to the girl in the dress, whom he didn’t recognize.

“She’s Riley Chappell, Francesca’s sister,” Felix introduced. “Due to Mr. Chappell’s busy schedule, he asked Riley to assist me in investigating the man who disguised himself as a waiter.”

Riley spoke first, greeting, “Mr. Larkin.”

Finnegan responded faintly before turning his gaze to the abandoned glasses factory.

“Here?”

Felix responded, “Through the surveillance at Goldarch Hotel and the surrounding area, along with the joint investigation by the Haimowitz and Chappell families in recent days, we’ve determined that the person who bumped into Rhiannon is here. Moreover, he hasn’t left since that night, except for occasional trips to buy necessities.”

Finnegan inquired, “Is he alone?”

“There are also two others who occasionally take turns going out for groceries.”

Nodding, Finnegan told Alisha, “Leave one behind.”

Alisha understood Finnegan’s intention and waved her right hand.

Immediately, four elite members of the Wahlstrom family advanced, agilely crossing the tightly closed large iron gate and disappearing into the night.

Riley narrowed her gaze, looking at Finnegan warily.

Her father, Rueben, had warned her before that Finnegan was a ruthless person.

Felix had also cautioned her that Finnegan was not easy to deal with.

Finnegan remained calm. He turned to Romona and said, “You’re from the police department and can’t show yourself. You should wait in the car for now.”

Romona frowned and asked, “Finnegan, you’re not planning to kill them all, are you?”

She knew that Alisha had already sent people to capture the student’s parents and the deceased’s family.

Sat,

Having heard the screams from inside the factory, Finnegan gave a faint smile. He walked over and kicked the iron door with his leg

Clang!

The iron gate crashed to the ground.

Finnegan patted his pants and walked in, saying, “Don’t worry, none of them will die tonight. After all, I’m not the type to kill indiscriminately.”

Romona felt a bit relieved by his words.

Yet, she overlooked the hidden meaning in Finnegan’s words.

“None will die tonight” didn’t mean they wouldn’t die tomorrow.

Alisha, who was a bit more familiar with Finnegan, heard the underlying message but chose not to alert Romona. She urged Felix and Riley, following the rest into the factory.

Inside the factory, Alisha instructed someone to turn on several high-power flashlights, brightening the space considerably.

Aterrified-looking man in black was being held down by two skilled members of the Wahlstrom family, while two lifeless bodies lay nearby.

Unfazed, Finnegan walked up to the man. A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. “Finally, I’ve found you!”

This black-clad man is the one who disguised himself as a waiter in the surveillance footage, the one who collided with Rhiannon.

He also recognized Finnegan’s face, and his terrified expression instantly turned pale. “Finnegan Larkin!”

The words slipped out, and the man in black seemed to realize he had revealed too much. He quickly changed the subject. “What are you doing?”
