The Fake Heiress Turns Out to Be a True Tycoon! novel Chapter 436

Chapter 436: Chapter 436 I’m Going to Accuse Him of Premeditated Murder

The incident happened so suddenly that Lucas Jennings took a punch in the face, leaving him stunned for a moment.

Growing up, there were very few people who dared to lay a hand on him.

Once Lucas regained his composure, anger surged instantly. Ignoring the crowd of onlookers, his eyes turned cold as he grabbed Harry Whitley by the collar and hit him back hard.

Though Lucas had been pampered since childhood, he had practiced enough to hold his own. Harry, on the other hand, worked a desk job and never exercised, so it wasn’t long before he was completely overwhelmed by Lucas’s punches.

Fiona Harper was stunned on the sidelines, and when she realized what was happening, she scrambled to her feet, crying and shouting at the two of them,

"Stop fighting! Please stop fighting! Don’t fight because of me, okay?"

Lucas was utterly fed up with this woman. He didn’t even know who she was!

Even though he usually adhered to the Jennings Family’s decorum, he couldn’t help but curse at her in this moment,

"Shut up! Who the hell is fighting because of you?! Do I even know you?!"

Just as he was distracted for a brief moment, Harry seized the opportunity and lunged at him again, locking the two into a physical tussle.

Harry knew he couldn’t beat Lucas, but with Fiona watching, he felt obligated to stand his ground as a man.

Even though his mouth and nose were already bleeding, Harry defiantly shouted,

"Don’t you dare curse at her! Someone like you isn’t worthy of Fiona!"

As he yelled, an inexplicable surge of strength overcame him, and he threw his entire body at Lucas.

Lucas tried to step back to avoid him, but his foot suddenly slipped on some spilled cream from before, causing him to lose balance. Harry’s forceful collision hit him directly, sending Lucas violently backward.

They were already close to the second-floor railing, and the railing wasn’t high. From the impact, Lucas flipped straight over the edge, crashing directly onto a glass display table below.

A deafening shatter echoed as the glass exploded, followed by a chorus of screams from the crowd.

The onlookers rushed to the railing, only to see Lucas lying motionless amidst the shards of shattered glass.

Fiona was frozen in terror, her cries abruptly ceasing.

Harry was equally stunned, his face draining of color as he encountered the horrified and accusatory stares of the crowd,

"I... I didn’t do it on purpose..."

Someone gasped and shouted, "Ambulance! Call an ambulance right now!!!"

A fall from the second floor wasn’t extraordinarily high, but landing directly on a glass display table? If he wasn’t dead, those shards could’ve seriously injured him—it was a situation that demanded immediate medical attention. Wait... what?

Just as the onlookers hurriedly pulled out their phones to call for help, the figure lying among the glass shards stirred slightly—then slowly sat up.

Harry and Fiona were already rushing downstairs in a panic.

To everyone’s astonishment, Lucas, though gashed and nicked in several places, appeared to have avoided serious injury.

Sitting amidst the wreckage, Lucas ignored the concerned queries and exclamations around him, instinctively reaching toward his chest.

When he fell into the glass display, he had distinctly felt a momentary heat against his chest.

His hand reflexively reached into his collar, but all he touched was a smear of black ash.

Suddenly, a shock ran through Lucas’s mind.

Though he’d never personally experienced it, he’d heard stories recently about talisman papers warding off disasters.

In that instant, he was utterly convinced—he had just been saved by one of those talismans.

More accurately, he had been saved by Scarlett Jennings—she had once again rescued him.

"Bro, are you okay? Do you need me to call you an ambulance?"

A nearby passerby, seeing Lucas staring dazedly, cautiously asked again.

Lucas abruptly lifted his gaze to the person who spoke and answered coolly,

"No need for an ambulance. Call the police instead."
