"I’m not the one who should reap what they sow! It’s clearly her!"
Facing Wyatt’s mocking laughter, Clara Harper pointed angrily at Elsa standing nearby,
"If it weren’t for the fact that during the college entrance exam I got diarrhea from the breakfast you gave me, causing me to fail that exam, how would I have ended up in a third-rate college later on?!
You ruined my future, and then you got into such a good school yourself?! Everything you have now should’ve been mine! Is it wrong for me to want it back?!"
Elsa, hearing her accusations, trembled with anger, and after a long pause, with red eyes, she lashed back,
"That breakfast wasn’t given by me! You clearly snatched it!
Because you snatched my breakfast, I took the exam that morning on an empty stomach."
After the exam that day, she almost fainted from low blood sugar.
Back then, Elsa had held some resentment towards Clara, but later, upon hearing that Clara had failed the exam due to diarrhea, she instead felt some guilt towards her.
Clara waved it off, saying it was her own problem and told Elsa not to overthink it.
So, even though the two ended up at different schools, they still kept in touch.
Elsa never expected that Clara had always held this grudge in her heart and even blamed her for it!
How is this different from a thief breaking into a house and injuring their leg, and then demanding compensation from the homeowner?
"You did it on purpose! You ruined my life! Elsa! It’s all your fault!!"
Clara was frantic.
She knew what the truth was, but she was unwilling to place the blame for her ruined future on herself; she had to pin everything on Elsa.
She blamed Elsa for bringing breakfast out, for not eating at home.
If she was going to snatch it, couldn’t Elsa have stopped her?
It was all her fault.
These thoughts rooted in her mind, and as she blamed Elsa, she forgot the cause and effect, only remembering that everything was Elsa’s fault.
And this idea became uncontrollable when she saw Elsa thriving in college and even dating such an excellent boyfriend.
She believed that Elsa’s future ought to be hers.
Elsa’s education was hers.
Elsa’s job was hers.
Even Elsa’s husband should be hers!
She constantly fell into this madness, and when she heard that Elsa was being pursued by a rich second-generation heir, her jealousy was overwhelming.
She even prayed for Elsa to cheat, break up with Wyatt, and then get played and dumped by the rich heir.
But she didn’t witness them breaking up, and Seth wasn’t just looking to play around.
She watched as Elsa and Wyatt gradually moved toward marriage proposals and even began planning a sweet honeymoon.
She couldn’t accept it.
So, when Seth approached her, she agreed without hesitation.
She didn’t care about a change in identity.
As long as she became Elsa, everything Elsa had would be hers.
But Seth didn’t tell her that after the soul swap, they could be swapped back!
No one present paid any further heed to Clara’s hysterics, and Elsa knew that after what Clara did, reasoning with her was meaningless.
When she was in her body, being tormented and humiliated by Seth, she lost all past friendship for Clara.
And those legs were Clara’s payback.
Seth truly broke her legs.
