The Fake Heiress Turns Out to Be a True Tycoon! novel Chapter 262

Chapter 262: Chapter 262: The Vest is Completely Gone

Lucas Jennings’s face looked somewhat grim.

After connecting the two names together, the suspicions in his heart instantly grew uncontrollably like wild weeds.

A voice in his head told him it was impossible, that it must just be a coincidence.

But another voice kept telling him, *How could it not be possible?*

*That jade token was carved by her!*

*The jade token she carved was identical in technique to that of Teacher Grant.*

*How could something so coincidental exist in this world?*

Because of her age, he hadn’t even considered the possibility that the two were the same person.

But...what if they were the same person?

At the thought of this possibility, Lucas’s expression became ghastly, as if he had seen a ghost.

He instinctively grabbed their tablet and indeed saw the barrage discussing Scarlett Jennings’s alias being Grant.

Startled by Lucas’s unexpected seizure of the tablet, both Lucas Jennings and Ismeria Jennings felt a bit disgruntled, "Brother Adam, you’re going too far!"

Just as they were about to jump up and battle it out with him, Lucas tossed the tablet back to them, walking away with a grim face without saying a word.

Lucas Jennings and Ismeria Jennings exchanged bewildered looks, both feeling Lucas was acting strangely today.

Ignoring him, they both lowered their heads once again to continue watching the livestream.

Meanwhile, Lucas left the two behind and went upstairs, not back to his room but straight to Scarlett Jennings’s room on the third floor.

*A name alone meant nothing, to know for sure, he had to see it with his own eyes!*

*If she were truly Teacher Grant, her room would undoubtedly hold evidence!*

*Don’t think he didn’t know; she often hid in her room to tinker with things, surely including jade carvings!*

With this in mind, Lucas raised his hand to press down on the door handle.

He couldn’t press it down!

The door was locked!

Lucas glared at it expressionlessly for a second, then quickly turned and descended the stairs.

Soon, he dashed back up, clutching a key obtained from Auntie.

Inserting the key, he easily opened the door this time.

With a cold smile on his lips, Lucas stepped inside, then found himself unable to proceed further.

It was as if an invisible barrier in the room prevented him from going any deeper.

Lucas couldn’t help but open his eyes wide and cursed out loud.

"Setting up a barrier in your own house! What’s in there, a national treasure?!"

Seeing the room clearly, yet unable to enter, he felt utterly frustrated.

He considered directly confronting Scarlett Jennings.

But recalling how she didn’t admit anything when he previously asked her to contact Teacher Grant, he figured she wouldn’t confess now.

*With suspicion in his heart, if he left it unattended, he wouldn’t be able to sleep tonight and felt somewhat unwilling...*

With these thoughts, Lucas turned his head and suddenly noticed a little fox rolling on the lawn downstairs.

His eyes flickered as though he had an idea.

He went downstairs again.

Returning upstairs, this time he carried a little fox in his arms.

Lucas held the fox and walked to the doorway, staring into the room, taking a deep breath and resolutely stepping forward with the fox.

He instinctively closed his eyes, bracing himself to be bounced back by the barrier again, yet surprisingly, he made it through smoothly.

Lucas was momentarily stunned, and in the next second, he lowered his head and beamed triumphantly at the little fox.

*As expected of him.*

*A mind fit for Grand Cathay University.*

Pretty Hamilton tilted its head, looking up at him with a curious expression.

Having successfully entered the room, the little fox lost its usefulness.

Kneeling down, Lucas casually set the fox aside and strode further into the room.

Scarlett Jennings’s room remained overwhelmingly pink and princess-themed in decor, an eyesore to anyone.
