Another road.
Momo Ross wiped the fine sweat from her forehead and looked up at the sun overhead, worriedly taking out a small mirror to check her makeup.
Luckily, the makeup was waterproof, and it remained intact.
Amber Livingston noticed her little gestures but pretended not to see, even considerately asking, "Are you hot? Do you want to stop for some water?"
Heading out in the summer was already exhausting, not to mention they had to head into the mountains.
Momo felt irritated, but she couldn’t show it in front of the camera, so she held back her temper, "We just set out, it’s not that great to..."
Before she finished speaking, she suddenly yelped and looked down as she jumped.
Clearly, she had been bitten by a mosquito.
She was wearing shorts and Martin boots today, her fair and slender legs were quite beautiful, but at the same time, they attracted mosquitoes.
Momo’s expression was somewhat collapsing, "Why are there so many mosquitoes?!"
Grayson Crawford, the inn owner walking ahead, happened to hear Momo’s exclamation and said helplessly, "There are more mosquitoes in the mountains, it’s hard for you. I brought mosquito repellent spray, would you like it?"
Momo didn’t want it; her assistant had sprayed her with it before they left, but she disliked the smell, which covered up her perfume.
But she also didn’t want her legs to be covered in mosquito bites, which would look worse.
After hesitating for a moment, she still took it and forced a smile to say thanks, "Thank you."
With that, she took the spray and quickly sprayed it on her legs and arms.
The spray nearly enveloped half her body, and Amber, standing nearby, was caught off guard and sneezed.
The group stopped, and Scarlett Jennings, Sebastian Carew, and a couple traveling with them also stopped.
The young girl in the couple couldn’t help but complain, "The mosquitoes in the mountains are so fierce, even with spray they can’t be stopped."
As she said this, she looked over at Scarlett.
Despite wearing cargo pants, she was wearing a short sleeve shirt on top, yet her arms and other exposed skin were pale and clean, not even sweating, let alone bitten.
The girl felt a little envious, "It’s so hot, but you don’t seem to sweat much, and mosquitoes don’t seem to bother you?"
Once she said that, everyone traveling with her and the live-stream audience noticed that while others had sweated at least a little from the journey, Scarlett looked as fresh as when they left the inn.
Scarlett glanced at everyone and silently took out a green Talisman Paper folded into a triangle from her pocket, introducing it, "Mosquito Repellent Talisman, it also has a cooling effect to some extent."
The young girl and her boyfriend’s eyes widened, "There’s actually this kind of talisman? Does it really work?"
Scarlett nodded and pulled out two more of the same, asking, "There are two left, want one?"
The young couple who were initially skeptical nodded without hesitation, "Yes!"
Sebastian looked somewhat tempted too, but seeing she only had two, he was too embarrassed to ask, so he just watched silently.
In the live-stream, when the viewers saw Scarlett take out the Mosquito Repellent Talisman, most had the same expression as the young couple.
