Chapter 727

“As for salary, I can offer you forty–five thousand a year without counting other incentives and benefits!”

“What? Forty–five thousand? Leon, are you joking? When did you start your own company? I didn’t even know about it!” Janice gasped in shock.

“It’s kind of a long story. I will tell you all about it later. You just need to trust me!”

Janice had helped him on numerous occasions back in university and he had always been grateful.

Since he had found a certain extent of success in Springfield City, he knew that it was time to repay the ones who had helped him in the past. Offering Janice a job with forty–five annual income was partially his effort in repaying her, but was also done out of consideration for Cynthia, who often had to take care of everything in Cynthion Group.

Janice was one of his most trusted friends and Leon would love to make Janice someone who could be of assistance to Cynthia. It was an idea that happened upon Leon at that very moment.

Janice hesitated for a moment, before nodding. “Yeah… I trust you.” She had been a witness to countless of Leon’s accomplishments so far and knowing how capable Leon was, she trusted him from the bottom of her heart.

“Well…” Ava was at a crossroad. Leon’s offering was far better than Mister Javner’s and since she was humiliated by Mister Javner earlier, she desperately wanted to accept Leon’s invitation, but she was worried that Leon might be bluffing. However, she then remembered how she doubted Leon before and how Leon was close with Jensen, she realized that Leon might be far more capable than she imagined him to be.

She gritted her teeth and said, “Okay, I’ll believe you this one time!” She intended to gamble for once and if she failed, she could always start over again.

“Why you…! Very well!” Mister Javner was enraged. Just as he thought that he was close to convincing Ava and Janice to stay, Leon destroyed his plan. He had originally thought that Leon was their employee, but now that his assumption was proven wrong, he could not figure out who Leon might be.

“Who are you, kid?”
