The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 2186

There was an unsettling silence on the other end of the line. Christopher’s forehead was damp with sweat, his heart pounding heavily as he waited anxiously.

“Congratulations, Mr. Iverson, for finally winning the heart of the woman you longed for.” Grant’s unmistakable voice echoed through the line, his tone smooth, with a low chuckle.

“All of this is thanks to your guidance, sir. Without your help, I wouldn’t have been able to bring Bella to my side so easily.” Christopher’s eyes were filled with excitement, though his voice was dry and full of guilt. “However, I’m afraid I can never return to Savrow. I’m sorry, sir… I couldn’t clear the path for you and eliminate the enemies. Even the new drug experiments had to be halted. I truly deserve to die.”

“You sure do,” Grant’s voice suddenly deepened.

It was as if Grant had choked Christopher by the throat, a suffocating pressure overwhelming him as cold sweat broke out across his back.

“However, this time, you’ve won the affection of Ms. Thompson. You’ve stolen my younger brother’s lover, which is as good as taking his life.”

Grant then laughed heartily, “I’ll consider your debt paid.”

“Thank you... Thank you, sir, for your forgiveness. Thank you for bringing us together!” Christopher’s tense body instantly relaxed, and a bead of sweat rolled down his pale cheek.

“For Ms. Thompson, you were even willing to use your own mother as a pawn, to watch her die tragically right before your eyes.”

Grant’s laughter grew, but it was unclear whether he was genuinely admiring Christopher or mocking him. “Honestly, when it comes to ruthlessness, I do have to admire you.”

Christopher’s heart ached painfully, and his vision blurred with tears as he looked at the beautiful woman before him.

The immense agony of losing his only family crashed down on him like a collapsed mountain, leaving him shattered and in excruciating pain.

At this point, he could hardly be considered human anymore.

He was nothing more than a bloodthirsty beast, driven mad by love.

“Since you could drug your own mother, it shouldn’t be difficult for you to give some to Ms. Thompson.” Grant’s words struck Christopher like a knife to the heart.

His pupils contracted violently.

Those words felt like a cruel, heartbreaking punishment to him.

“Ms. Thompson and my younger brother share a love as deep as the mountains and seas—no force on earth could tear them apart,” Grant said as he smiled. “Ms. Thompson is like a bird soaring in the sky. Do you think your Rose Island can imprison her forever?”

Christopher pressed his pale lips tightly together.

“Even if you could, with her strong and unyielding nature, would she ever willingly stay with you? Even if you possess her body, you will never truly possess her heart. There’s a chance you could lose her forever.”

Christopher was shocked and closed his eyes tightly.

He had already considered the possibility that when Bella woke up, she might threaten to end her life. He feared that the rose he had fought so hard to win would wither and die right before him.

That would be worse than killing him.

“What will happen to Bella if she takes this pill?” Christopher’s voice quivered, “Will she become a vegetable, or will she lose her memory completely?”

“She won’t become a vegetable, nor will she lose her memory entirely. But she will experience immense physical pain for a period of time.” Grant laughed again, as if discussing something amusing. “However, I can guarantee that if she survives the pain, you’ll have a fresh start with her. Do you want to give it a try?”
