Mr. Lyles stood there trembling, hesitant and unsure. Sensing his indecision, Taylor stepped forward and handed him a lighter.

“Mr. Lyles, you’re a smart man. You should understand that when a new king ascends to the throne, there will be new ministers. However, Mr. Iverson is a generous and kind-hearted person. He values your work and hopes you will continue to serve as the Iverson Group’s legal advisor. Once Mr. Iverson officially takes charge, we will also take care of your family in recognition of your loyalty. Surely, this mutually beneficial outcome is something you’d want to see, right?”

“Ash, did you see that? That shifty-eyed bastard is lusting after Bella again.” Axel gritted his teeth, his voice low with barely suppressed anger. “I really want to gouge out his eyes and pickle them!”

Though Wyatt’s and Lance’s long-standing friendship soured in recent years, Lance was gone now. Holding onto past grievances seemed meaningless.

“Now that I’m the only one left in the Iverson family, everyone else is avoiding me at this critical moment.”

Christopher’s voice trembled with emotion, his eyes misty with sorrow. “I’m truly grateful that you’re here to see my father off... I admit I’ve made mistakes in the past. Today... I sincerely apologize for what I’ve done.”
