The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1766

Christopher’s popping knuckles went white as he hissed through clenched teeth.

“To Pivotage!”

Christopher stepped into Pivotage with a menacing look.

It was clear that he was enraged.

“Get Yvonne here, Taylor.” Christopher glanced at Taylor.

Taylor acknowledged his request, his heart sinking.

Minutes later, Yvonne arrived at the basement, where many inefficient subordinates and traitors were executed.

She opened the door to a frightening stench of blood.

“Mr. Iverson.” Yvonne kept her head down.

Though her face was calm, her heart was jumping out of her chest.

In the dimly lit room, Christopher sat with his legs crossed on the maroon sofa and downed a glass of red.

“James is charged with bribery, embezzlement, and rape. The police arrested him during the party. Do you know about this?”

Fighting back the fear, Yvonne murmured, “I do. It’s on the news.”

“Bella and Justin managed to get their hands on incriminating evidence to nail James in such a short amount of time. This caught the Iverson Group off guard.”

Christopher took strides toward her and gripped her chin. Tears welled up in her eyes. “I didn’t make you a hard ass for you to use it against me.”

“I’m sorry, Mr. Iverson. I have no idea what I did…” Yvonne teared up.

“I assigned you and Taylor to investigate James. You and Taylor are the only ones closest to the case.”

James heaved heavily, nearly crushing Yvonne’s chin. “I can’t think of anyone else who could be the rat. You should know that I do not tolerate traitors. I’m sure you are aware of the countless disloyal men who died in this basement.”

Yvonne shook her head tearfully. “I-It wasn’t me.”

“Why aren’t you putting the blame on Taylor, then?”

Christopher’s eyes were savage. “Ha! Because you know that he didn’t do it. You can’t even find a reason to shift the blame on him. I gave you your life, Yvonne. I let you live in decency and glory, but this is the thanks I get? You have the audacity to backstab me.”
