The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1650

Bella walked briskly ahead and said, “I left that trap on purpose for him. I was just waiting for him to take the bait.”

“What?” Steven was shocked.

“Did you seriously think that confidentiality agreement had any real use?” Bella’s eyes were cold as ice. “There are no secrets that can’t be uncovered. Even if Wyatt didn’t go to the hospital, news of his collapse at the company would get out. Cameron witnessed it firsthand and probably thinks he’s caught a golden opportunity to strike back. He’s probably thrilled to exploit it. If you want to trap him, you first need to let him act. If he doesn't make a move, how can I make mine?”

Steven understood and gave Bella a thumbs up. “Wow! Ms. Bella, you really are cunning—no, I mean, clever and resourceful!”

When Bella arrived, the medical team had just left. Wyatt’s condition had stabilized, but his spirits were at an all-time low.

“Have you told the family?” Bella asked Justin, her eyes teary and red.

Justin shook his head gently and put his arm around her waist, pulling her close to his chest.

“Although they’ll have to know sooner or later, let’s not tell them for now,” Justin said with concern. “Your father is not doing well and needs some peace.”

Bella lowered her eyes and rested her forehead against Justin’s broad shoulder. Her clenched fists were trembling. As Wyatt’s daughter, and given their similar personalities, Bella could understand how much Wyatt was suffering inside.

“Is everything sorted out over there? If you need my help, just say so. Don’t bear it all alone.” Justin took this opportunity to speak his mind, but his words were sincere.

“It’s fine... Everything has been taken care of.” Bella leaned against him weakly, sniffing.

“My wife is truly amazing.” Justin couldn’t help but kiss her cheek, his heart pounding. He was ready to take any scolding or beating for her.

She was his wife, and there was no denying it anymore.

Justin was filled with guilt and bitterness. “It must be the medication. The effects were too strong and caused side effects. I didn’t think it through enough. I shouldn’t have given it to him so easily…”

“Justin, don’t blame yourself. It’s not your fault,” Bella said as she gently caressed his cheek. She then walked over to her father.

At that moment, Wyatt was lying completely motionless on the sofa with his back to them, covered by a blanket. Bella felt a painful lump in her throat.

All her life, her father’s presence had been like an insurmountable mountain to her, protecting her from everything when she was a child. As she grew up, he stood behind her, giving her his full support.

But now, he suddenly seemed so old to her. He lay there silently, curled up into a pitiful, frail old man.

She called softly, “Wyatt, hey, hey.”
