“Mr. Hoffman, is something wrong with the company?” Yasmin asked tentatively, her brows furrowing.

In fact, as soon as Ryan stepped through the door earlier, she sensed his heavy mood.

It was not that Carrie was indifferent to him. It was just that Yasmin had been by Ryan’s side for so long that no one else understood him better.

Ryan’s eyes were dark and brooding. He grabbed two game dice fiercely in his palm. “I went to see Zoe today. She’s in the hospital now, well-guarded by my mother and grandfather.”

Ryan sneered. “Would she dare to do anything fishy under my watch?”

“Even so, you should be careful.”

Yasmin spoke with concern. “Seeing how she had returned so smoothly this time, she must’ve teamed up with Liam. Your dear sister is no longer on good terms with you, and to vent her anger, she’ll undoubtedly side with Liam and join forces with him against you.”

“Heh, she’d better hurry up and not keep me waiting too long then.”

Ryan gritted his teeth, his iron fist nearly crushing the dice in his palm to powder. “I was just fretting over finding an excuse to deal with that wretched girl.
