The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1193

For the first time in 28 years, Steven dared to confront Chelsea like this, deeply upsetting her.

“I want to be with Amelia. I want to marry her.”

Steven’s determination blazed through his entire being, and his words were resolute. “Apart from Amelia, I want no one else!”

“So, you’re willing to forsake your family, your mother?!” Chelsea’s voice quivered with tears as she questioned him.

“If you still want me as your son, please stop mentioning Amelia in such a way. Don’t try to hinder my love for her. But, of course, even if you tried, you can’t stop me.”

With that, Steven turned and began to walk upstairs.

“Steven! Stop right there!”

Chelsea angrily shouted at his retreating figure, “Are you trying to drive me insane?! Let me make this clear. I will never allow the daughter of a mistress to set foot in this house! Not while I’m alive!”

Steven halted in his tracks.

Chelsea felt a surge of hope, thinking he had changed his mind.

But instead, he spoke coldly. “Hunter, I advise you to stop now. Don’t attempt to free Shannon from her crimes. Otherwise, I’ll do whatever it takes to stop you.”

“Are you trying to threaten me?” Hunter retorted angrily, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

“And what if I am? You’re correct about one thing. I may be considered a dog, but I’m not like you—a mere lapdog. I’m more like a wolf. When people provoke me, I’ll bite back.”

Steven delivered the warning and left without looking back.

“Charles, are you seriously considering marrying Celeste’s daughter? Won’t you be losing out?”

Unlike the authoritative demeanor of their eldest brother, Astrid had a closer bond with Charles since childhood, and she could not help but feel that it was not worth it for her brother. “You’re Dad’s favorite, after all. What does Celeste’s daughter offer in comparison? Celeste tagged along with Chairman Thompson with no status and bore an illegitimate daughter. She might be considered one of the Thompson family’s heiresses, but let’s face it, she’s nothing more than an illegitimate child. Besides, Wyatt has another son and daughter from his second wife, Mila. The Thompson family’s wealth and legacy won’t fall into the hands of Celeste and her daughter. So, what do you gain from marrying her?”

“No, the Thompsons are different from other wealthy families. Chairman Thompson may not care about his women, but he values his children.”

Under immense distress, Charles gulped down a mouthful of wine. “Given my current situation, do I have any other options left? That’s all I can get now!”

Astrid had nothing to say in response, only asking, “So, what are you planning to do? I assumed that you reached out to me for help.”

“Women from elite families always seem to turn to fortune tellers for guidance. There must be some way you can assist me in seizing the opportunity to win over Amelia, leaving Christopher with no chance to challenge me, right?” Charles said, his expression turning somber as he approached Astrid.
