Hailey shook her head. "No. Three years ago, he called me and asked me to meet him, but when I got there, he was nowhere to be found. After that, I never saw him again."
She let out a self-deprecating chuckle. "He was already married by then. I never saw Stella again, either. Maybe he took her somewhere else to settle down."
Celine's heart ached for Hailey. "Are you okay?"
Hailey forced a small smile. "I'm fine, Celine. Declan and I are over. I'm not wasting another tear on him."
Celine nodded. "That's good to hear. Come on, let's eat."
Just then, Carly and Melody entered the restaurant.
After their embarrassment at the Apex Gala, the two had met up to vent their frustration.
Melody huffed angrily. "It's all because of that bitch Celine! Now, the entire social circle is laughing at us. Even the rich guys I was talking to won't give me the time of day. They've all blocked me!"
Melody had always juggled multiple wealthy men, keeping her options open. But now, her whole game was falling apart.
Carly's expression darkened. "Calm down, Melody. We'll figure out a way to deal with Celine."
At that moment, Melody froze. "Carly, look! It's Celine and Hailey!"
Carly turned and spotted them, along with the little girl sitting beside Celine.
Carly narrowed her eyes. "Is that Celine's daughter? She's already this big?"
Celine had completely disappeared for the past three years. This was the first time she had stepped back into the spotlight, and she had brought her daughter with her. Carly and Melody were both shocked.
Melody sneered. "Of course, that's her kid. She's just as pretty as her mother—another little temptress in the making."
Carly's heart sank. "I didn't expect Celine to actually bring her daughter to the Capitol. That child is Adam's flesh and blood. What if he finds out?"

After 3 years….these two are still dumb! Writer please hurry up...
What a way for both Hayden and Lucy to go...
I'm so invested with this novel. Both Declan-Hailey and Celine-Adam's story. But, Declan and Hailey gives me more heartache. I thought they would get their happy ending after what Declan have been through. But just like what others said, maybe the author is very sad that's why she don't want her characters to be happy. 😭 Ewan is so evil...
This writer is very sad! Why should Ewan come back to hurt Declan!...
So let’s move to Celina and Adam...
Please take back to Celine and Adam's story !...
Stella is another Carly...
Don’t let lucy win!. It is about time to get Celine what’s rightfully hers! Pls...
