After that, Corinne went to pack her bags. Even though she only stayed a night at the summer villa, she could not wait to go home.
'Now that Jeremy's here, it should be no problem to bring Joey back with us,' she thought while packing her bags. 'There's no need for me to stay here any longer since I got what I came for.'
Suddenly, her phone rang. Fearing the noise would wake Jeremy and Joey up, she quickly took her phone out of the room to answer the call.
It was Aaron.
"Boss, where are you now?" he asked hurriedly as soon as she picked up the phone.
"I'm at the Riveras' summer villa. Why? Did something happen?"
"Where's the summer villa? Drop me your location, and I'll drive over there right away. I have something really important to tell you!"
From Aaron's tone, Corinne could tell it was serious—the kind that could not be discussed over the phone.
"You don't have to come here. I'm going back tonight. We can meet at Twilight instead."
"That works too. Xante and I will make the necessary arrangements and wait for you at Twilight, then," said Aaron.
Corinne started to feel a little uneasy after they hung up the phone. 'It's rare to see Aaron being so serious… What could have happened to make him act like that?'
Corinne frowned. "Just what are you trying to say, Mister? Don't you trust me at all?"
"It's not you that I don't trust but him! I mean, what kind of guy will keep on calling a married woman if he doesn't have any ulterior motive?" he questioned while stroking her cheek softly.
Corinne stared straight into Jeremy's eyes with displeasure before chuckling and saying, "I could say the same thing about you, Mister Jeremy. As a matter of fact, why don't you think about what you've done first before pointing at me?"
Jeremy could not help but frown when he heard her address him as 'Mister Jeremy'. Not to mention, she was obviously hinting at something.
"Think about what I've done? What did I do? Have I done something to upset you again?"

The readers' comments on the novel: The Day I Kissed An Older Man
This book is a good book, but it’s too short. I hope it has a part two👍🏾...
This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
Great writing! I almost cried when Helen hit Melody! So sad! 😭 can’t wait to see how the relationship with her and Lucas develops though. So tired of the repetitive problems with different people....
Yikes my body tenses so much, my moods change as the scenes change. It leaves me wanting to continue reading....
my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
We have updated progress from 7 chapters/day to 10 chapters/day.<3...
i love grandma Beatrice, there needs to me more people like her in the world straight forward and to the point, no beating around the bush and worrying about offending anyone, why pretend to be someone your not....
looking forward to more chapters, The same thing is happening to Melody as what happened to Luna, if Luna was back maybe she would set Lucas straight, can't wait to see how Lucas handles the situations that will arrive. Poor Melody....
ya Lucas pay more attention to Melody lets see what happens waiting for more chapters thanks...
