"Mr. Lane, why didn't you let Austin know you were coming to the site? He could have arranged things for you."

"I came to see you. There’s no need for Austin to arrange anything." Lane squinted his eyes and smiled. "I'm leaving the country in a few days and thought I should treat you for your hard work. So, I'm inviting you to lunch."

Dorothy was hesitant to accept his invitation. Just as she was about to decline, Lane quickly added, "It's not just us. There's also someone with some clout in the business world. I thought I'd introduce you. Who knows? You might have a chance to collaborate in the future."

"Really? Who is it?"

Lane raised his eyebrows mysteriously. "You'll find out when we get there. If you're not comfortable, you can bring Austin along. It's just a gentlemanly invitation. Don't overthink it."
