Chapter 9
When Isaac, Anthony, and Mateo rushed to the hospital, Janet had already been talked down.
Lying in bed, tears in her eyes, she looked at the three of them, as if accusing why they hadn’t accompanied her.
“Why did you only just arrive? Janet’s tears fell as soon as the words left her mouth.”
The three of them immediately felt heartbroken and surrounded her in an instant.
“Don’t cry, we’re here, aren’t we? Isaac wiped away the tears from Janet’s eyes, looking at her with a heart full of pity.”
“Yes, your body is just right. You shouldn’t be too happy or too sad. Take good care of yourself, we will all be here for you, Anthony said as he watched Isaac’s movements, feeling like he was a step behind.”
“Yes, we will all be with you, Mateo said, not wanting to be left behind.
“However, you still have to marry Ms. Dalton. Just the thought of this breaks my heart. I don’t want you to be forced by the family to marry someone you don’t love because of me. A lifetime is too long.”
Janet finished speaking and hung her head low…
In a place where the three of them couldn’t see, a hint of a cold smile crept up at the corner of her mouth.
She lifted her head and resumed that pitiful look.
The three of them looked at her, appearing as if she only cared about herself, which warmed their hearts.
I had long since put aside the strange feeling I had when I saw Emma in the afternoon.
“Janet, you knew that we liked you, yet you still said those things.”
“Even if any of us marries Emma, you will still be the most important person in our hearts.”
“Janet, you don’t need to worry, we will always love you the most.”
Janet looked at the three people who were making various promises to her, feeling very pleased.
Emma, no matter how prestigious the Dalton family is, I can still win over everything that belongs to you.
On the other side, Emma, who had returned home, watched the three people leaving, paused for a moment, and then set off for the airport.
When I arrived at the airport, the time was much earlier than I had imagined.
She suddenly thought of something and called home directly.
“Dad, let’s get rid of Horace. It’s not appropriate for Janet to continue living in our house.”
“Well, you go first, I’ll come with your mom later.”
After putting down the phone, it was time for takeoff. I turned it off directly and went to sleep.
