Flirting With My Ex-husband novel Chapter 962

The news of Ryker's death soon came to Juanton City. Abraham somehow felt uneasy as he heard the news.

His intuition was right.

Scarlett asked Frank to report Abraham's embezzlement. Frank sorted the evidence out and called the police this morning. At 3.00 pm, Abraham was taken away by the police.

Abraham didn't know what had happened when he saw the police. He was very calm at that moment.

"Sir, I'll cooperate with the investigation."

Abraham was polite, not looking like a criminal.

Hearing that the police had arrived, Scarlett was a bit excited. She took the elevator down to the first floor to watch the fun.

Scarlett saw Abraham come out of the elevator with several police officers.

Scarlett walked up with a smile. "What's going on?"

Abraham's face darkened for an instant as he saw Scarlett. "Nothing serious. The officers said someone reported me for embezzling company funds. I'll go to the police station for investigation."

Scarlett smiled faintly at Abraham. "Then you should assist the police, Mr. Maston."

Scarlett curved her lips and went away.

Abraham looked back at Scarlett who had walked to the elevator.

Thinking of Scarlett's meaningful smile, he suddenly realized something. His expression changed. He was rattled.

"Let's go."

The police officer pushed him. Abraham came out of his trance and hastily left with the police.

The news that Abraham was taken away by the police soon spread at Tenton. Abraham's people in the management group were anxious.

On the third day, Abraham's people couldn't help surrendering to Scarlett.

Scarlett didn't take a stand. She just watched them argue with each other.

Chris glanced at the phone on the desk. Seeing the caller ID, he picked up his phone and walked towards the door. "Wait a moment."

The manager hastily stopped doing the presentation and watched Chris go out of the conference room.

The phone had rung for a while, but Chris didn't answer. Just when Scarlett intended to hang up the phone, Chris's voice came over.

"Scarlett." They had not seen each other for more than 20 days. When she was busy, Scarlett didn't miss Chris very much, but now she was relaxed. She had a sudden impulse to do something.

"I just woke up and found that you had called me last night."

Scarlett glanced out the window and smiled slightly. "What's up?"

There was a sixteen-hour time difference between Juanton City and Liechtho. It was not very convenient for them to contact each other by phone.

"I just wanted to hear your voice," Chris answered in a deep voice.

Hearing this, Scarlett was stunned.
