On the third day after Raymond's accident, Katherine finally found out about Quinn's background.
Quinn's parents were businessmen and immigrated to Salleria a long time ago.
Quinn was born in Salleria. She went back to the country with her parents when she was ten years old. She had not been back to Jakesville since then.
Quinn's family's relationships were not complicated. Apart from her relatives, only her childhood friends and a few close classmates were associated with her.
Katherine had people check all the people related to Quinn, however, she didn't find anyone who had contact with Raymond. Frank had already sent people to check Raymond's overseas companies but did not find anything wrong.
In other words, it was not easy to judge whether what happened to Raymond was an accident or a man-made accident.
And Quinn, the only one who may know the truth of the matter, also seemed to have disappeared. Katherine's people, Frank’s people, or Larry’s people had gone to look for Quinn but still could not find her.
They could neither find Quinn nor Raymond.
No one knew if Quinn and Raymond were alive or dead.
After Katherine finished her words, she looked at Scarlett in front of her. As
Scarlett didn't say anything for a long time, Katherine called out to her with concern."
Ms. Reed, sometimes no news may be good news."
Hearing Katherine's words, Scarlett glanced at her and smiled lightly. "Well, I know."
Scarlett said, pausing slightly. "Thank you for all your efforts during this time. I'm going back to Juanton City tomorrow, so I'm counting on you, Katherine."
Mornet Corporation needed her to handle the company's affairs. And Teuton needed her, too. Even if Scarlett was doing it for Raymond, she couldn't be here in Deeton City all the time.
"Ms. Reed, don't worry. I'll let you know as soon as there's any progress."
"Good."
Scarlett glanced at Katherine. "Let's have dinner." Scarlett hadn't had much of an appetite the past few days, so she hadn't eaten much. She finally managed to eat something today. She ate without saying another word and with her head down.
After dinner, Scarlett and Katherine parted ways at the hotel.
Rowan was worried about her and had sent a driver to wait outside, and Scarlett saw the Tank family's car as soon as she left the restaurant
"Ms. Reed."
Paul pulled open the door and let Scarlett into the car.
Scarlett nodded and smiled. "Thanks, Paul. "
After saying that, she bent over and got into the car. Then she tilted her head and looked out of the window. Her beautiful eyes were empty.
Scarlett came back to the Tank family, and Rowan was inside the living room. Rowan was slightly relieved to see Scarlett back. " Have you eaten enough? If you're not full, I'll ask the maid to make you a midnight snack, okay?"
"Okay."
Scarlett and her grandfather had a heart-to-heart talk. Then Scarlett went to her room to rest.
She had a 9:10 a.m. flight tomorrow, so she was up at 6:00 a.m.
Scarlett was a little surprised to run into Larry when she came downstairs. "Larry?"
The Tank family's villa was some distance from the city. Generally, in order to facilitate commuting to work, Larry would only come back on weekends.
Larry had gone back to work the night before, so he had been away from the Tank family for the past two days. And Scarlett had gone to bed early last night, so she didn't know when Larry had returned.
Scarlett was surprised to see Larry early in the morning.
And Scarlett knew why Larry came back suddenly.
She was touched that even if Larry was so busy during this holiday, he came back to drive Scarlett to the airport.
Scarlett blinked a little. "Larry, good morning.”
"Good morning."
Larry nodded. Then he grabbed a bottle of milk from the table and handed one to Scarlett. "Take care."
