"You live alone. You might as well get a cat to keep you company."
Hearing that, Scarlett said less confidently, "I'd prefer not. I don't spend much time at home. If it gets lost, it will be dangerous."
Rowan thought about it and said, "You have a point. Cats are always running loose.
This cat has been running about since it was a kitten. David used to dote on this cat and take it out when it was young. Then it grew up and went out on its own. Over the past ten years, it should have been to all corners of this villa area."
Rowan's smile faded a little when he thought of David in the hospital.
The doctor said that David's days were numbered.
Rowan was a little saddened as people around him passed away one by one.
Scarlett sensed his sadness and said, "I've never seen Mr. Fratelli, Grandpa."
Hearing that, Rowan was stunned for a while, and then remembered himself, "Oh, David never believed you looked like your grandma. We'll go to the hospital and prove that to him."
Scarlett smiled, "Okay!"
Then she stood up, "Why don't we have a walk outside?"
Hardly had she finished than she saw Raymond watching her from a distance.
She gave him a reassuring smile.
Then Larry pulled up in front of Raymond blocking his view, "Get in the car, Mr. Shaw.
Raymond dragged his eyes away from Scarlett and stepped into the car.
Rowan snorted as he watched the black car drive away.
Scarlett, who stood beside him, pursed her lips in embarrassment.
Then Scarlett helped Rowan slowly out of the villa.
Scarlett's mention of Kate reminded Rowan of the past. He sighed, "I'm just worried that he'll hurt you again."
Scarlett detected a change in Rowan's attitude and added, "I know. But you want me to be happy, don't you?"
"Of course, I just want you to be happy! I never ask you to be great. And I’m glad you're so excellent. Keep in mind Tank family will always have your back no matter what."
The word came from the heart, and Scarlett's eyes glistened with tears, "Thank you, Grandpa."
"Don't thank me yet. I haven't permitted you to marry that guy!"
Scarlett looked down at that chubby cat and smiled, "So you agreed with me to go out with Raymond, didn't you?"
"Humph! So what? If he's not nice to you, replace him!"
Rowan did not give up the idea of introducing Scarlett to other men, though his attitude changed a little.
