Shaylee was surprised. She bit her lips. "I didn't say bad things about you online."
"Really?"
Scarlett laughed as she stood up from the chair. "I thought you were brave to admit what you had done."
Scarlett stopped for a while and looked at Katherine who had just come in. And Scarlett continued, "But you turn out to not be that kind of person."
She sounded calm.
But the meaning behind the words was known to everyone at the spot.
Shaylee dared not admit what she did.
Scarlett blamed her for that.
"You are not sincere. If you didn’t do this to me, why would you come here to apologize to me?"
Scarlett thought that one should get punished if he or she did bad things.
Shaylee's words sounded inconsistent. She didn't admit what she did at first, but then she apologized to Scarlett.
It was ridiculous. One should not apologize if he or she did nothing wrong.
Words had different meanings when one said them.
Shaylee felt speechless. She looked at her agent Fannie.
But Fannie had nothing to say too because she didn't expect that Scarlett would be hard to handle.
But Scarlett felt at ease as she sat on the couch and drank water.
Half a minute later, Fannie took a secret glance at Scarlett. And Scarlett was looking at her. Fannie kicked Shaylee on the foot and hurriedly handed the present to her.
Shaylee put it on the table. "Scarlett, we come to apologize sincerely. This present is specially prepared for you, please accept my apology."
Scarlett took a glance at the present. She didn’t want it. And she said clearly with a light smile, "I don't know why Shaylee hates me. But since you apologize, I will let it go."
"I accept the apology. It's almost off-duty time. As a star, you don't want to be recognized by anyone during the rush hour, right? So let’s call it a day. We have many chances to talk in the future," Scarlett continued.
After the words, Scarlett looked at Katherine. "Katherine, see them out."
Shaylee and Fannie were surprised by the sudden change of Scarlett, who was smiling and didn't seem to be furious.
