Flirting With My Ex-husband novel Chapter 759

Alexis thought of that horrible scene half an hour ago. She was still a little scared.

Although she knew that Raymond was on a business trip with her in the same city, she did not expect that the joking words she occasionally said to Scarlett would be overheard by Raymond.

In fact, she mentioned Jalen at that moment because of her being mouthy. To be honest, she really had no intention of keeping Scarlett and Raymond apart!

However, Raymond was clearly not thinking in this way. At that time, Alexis was just saying something exciting to her when she felt gloating and very happy. Then she noticed that Rylie beside her seemed to be silent. Then she looked up to find Raymond somehow standing in front of her.

It was a very awkward and desperate scene.

Alexis had reason to believe that if she hadn’t run so fast, Raymond would have had his secretary rip her mouth off.

Alexis was horrified to think of it!

How could Alexis not panic when she had bad-mouthed Raymond, and Raymond had bumped into her?

Alexis was really afraid that Scarlett and Raymond would fight. She was torn for a while. Then, she couldn't resist and made a voice call to Scarlett.

Alexis swore she really meant what she said!

What Scarlett didn't expect was that Alexis would run into Raymond at the same hotel in a big city like Jesison.

Raymond showed up right when Alexis said he was a jerk and Jalen was better than Raymond.

One could imagine that the scene must be a bit thrilling.

Scarlett couldn’t help but laugh. "Well, so that's it."

She said, pausing for a moment. "That kind of sucks. I just hung up on Raymond to answer your voice call."

Alexis, who was trying to make up for her mistake, said,"... So does Raymond know I called you?"

"You’re telling me?"

Alexis was speechless.

Alexis thought, 'Fairwell, Scarlett!' Alexis hung up the voice call straight away. Then Scarlett looked down at her phone and couldn't help but laugh a little.

Scarlett thought, 'Gee, she can't stand to be teased.'

Since Scarlett was on Alexis' side, how dare Raymond blame Alexis!

Scarlett took another look at the photos on her computer and found it was boring to look at those photos. Then she got up and went to her room to wash up.

Scarlett didn't believe the photos at all. Not to mention Alexis didn't believe in such tactics. Even if Cindy had seen the photos, Cindy probably wouldn't believe them either.

It seemed that Ryker was really a little too desperate. He could even do such a stupid thing.

Did Ryker think Scarlett would fight and break up with Raymond because he spread the rumor about Raymond? Did he think the Tank family wouldn't support Raymond?

Then he was really naive.

Ryker was so naive that Scarlett couldn't stand it.

Scarlett would have an early meeting tomorrow, Friday, and she turned off the lights at 10:15 pm.

And Raymond was not with her for the past two days. She had a rare sleepless night. She lay in bed and drifted off until almost eleven o'clock before she actually fell asleep.

Scarlett did not sleep very deeply. She was half asleep when she heard the sound of voices. She sat up from the bed with a frown. She was just about to turn the night light on when a familiar male voice came over her head. "Did I wake you?"

Scarlett was stunned to hear Raymond's voice. She called Hilla in a muffled voice to turn on the night light.

In the warm yellow light, she saw Raymond’s familiar face in front of her.

Raymond looked at the smile inside her peach-blossom-shaped eyes. Thinking of him worrying along the way, he bit her lower lip a little helplessly. "Next time, don't make jokes like that."

Scarlett gave a soft hum. "Since you’re so smart, can’t you tell if I’m really angry or not?”

"I can't."

Raymond said as he called Hilla to turn off the light. The room was plunged into darkness. He lay down beside her, holding Scarlett on his side. He buried his head down inside her shoulder. He smelled the familiar and calming scent. "Scarlett, my smart is useless in front of you."

It wasn't that he hadn't actually wondered if she was just pretending to be angry on purpose. However, even though it was only a one in a million chance, he didn't want to bet on it.

The moment Scarlett hung up the phone four hours ago, Raymond felt as if his heart had stopped for a moment.

It was then that Raymond saw Scarlett looking at him and smiling that he felt his heart finally fall back into place.

In the darkness, Scarlett could not see his face clearly. She only felt Raymond's head on her shoulder. His short hair touched her skin a little, making her feel a little tingly. And it tickled inside her, too.

She curled her lips and raised her hand to touch his head. "It's late. Let's go to sleep."

"Mmm."

Raymond said, tightening his grip on her a little.

Scarlett was held a little tighter by him. She couldn't help but move a little, turn around, and hug him back. "Like that."

At her words, Raymond withdrew his raised hand. He didn’t move again. He put his hands on her waist and put his hands down on Scarlett's back. Then he closed his eyes slightly and quickly fell asleep.

He really hadn't slept much these days.

Listening to Raymond's breathing, Scarlett knew he was asleep. Then she moved slightly. She gave him a kiss on the cheek, then closed her eyes and went to sleep.

They both slept very well that night. It had been a long time since Scarlett had a deep sleep. And Scarlett finally slept soundly again. She almost didn't even hear the alarm clock the next day.
