Darrell smiled. "She is indeed awesome."
If it were him, he wouldn't have the courage to start from scratch.
Libby's mouth twitched. "What is the lie?"
"She's just eye candy."
Libby snorted. "Both are praises."
Darrell was afraid that she would get angry. He explained, "Don't misunderstand.
I mean maybe she used her beauty to get what she wanted."
Libby stared at Scarlett smiling slightly not far away. Scarlett seemed easy-going and gentle but was very difficult to approach.
Libby didn't believe Scarlett was that kind
of person. "You don't have to slander her like this."
Darrell laughed. "Don't you hate her very much?"
"People are always jealous of those who are better than they are, and they don't want to admit it."
"I know."
Libby understood, but she just couldn't forget the past.
Scarlett didn't know that Libby thought a lot after meeting her at the party.
Seeing Jake come over, Scarlett put down her juice glass and left, leaving the four men alone.
Just after Scarlett took a few steps away, Cindy appeared. "Scarlett!"
Scarlett hadn't seen Cindy for a long time,"
It had been a long time since they last met. Cindy went to Scarlett's birthday party, but there were so many guests. Scarlett had no time to pay attention to Cindy or talk to her.
While they were chatting, Cindy suddenly asked, "Is the news about Raymond?"
Scarlett took a sip of juice. "I don't know."
She was not hiding anything from Cindy. Scarlett didn't know the truth either.
According to the evidence from Jean, Raymond was not Zacharie's son, but she believed that although Zacharie was not a successful businessman, he was not that easy to fool.
When Jean took Raymond back to the Shaw family and asked for a large amount of money, Zacharie's father couldn't agree without making sure that Raymond was his grandson.
Zacharie might be silly, but his father was the founder of Tenton. Though aged, his father was smart.
It was not news that the children of wealthy families were secretly replaced by someone else's child. Zacharie's father was alert and should have thought that Raymond might not be his grandson when Jean take him back that year.
"Oh," Cindy answered, looking at Raymond and Alexander not far from them. Cindy was sure that they couldn't hear the conversation between her and Scarlett. She whispered in Scarlett's ear, "If it is true, will you leave Raymond?"
