Raymond’s eyes darkened. "Baby, don’t play with me here."
Scarlett was sweating from the exercise, and her face burned even more at his words.
She struggled to get off him. She moved a little. "Let me down."
"Hold me tight, baby."
Right after that, Raymond held her in his arms more tightly.
Scarlett's arms were around Raymond’s neck. She looked up into his eyes, "Aren't you going to let go of me?"
Raymond's eyes flickered. Then he cupped
her cheek with both hands, moved her chin forward, and kissed her red lips.
Compared to her kiss on his lip a moment ago, Raymond's kiss was more passionate, which could set her on fire.
After the kiss, they collapsed on the mat. They both gasped for air.
Scarlett's eyes were closed and she heard Raymond’s heart pounding.
So abruptly, the boxing room was so quiet. Neither of the two said anything.
After about two minutes, Raymond sat up. He inclined his head to look at Scarlett," Shall we go on?"
Scarlett replied, "Sure."
By the time the two left the gym, it was dusk.
It was six in the evening. The sun was about to set. A large haze was in the sky.
Looking out the car window, at the beautiful sunset, Scarlett couldn’t help but turn to Raymond, "The sunset is amazing."
"Yeah," Raymond responded, the corners of his lips curled up slightly.
After they finished dinner, they went back to Scarlett's house. It was after 8:00 p.m. Scarlett went to take a shower. After freshening herself up, she turned on her laptop and browsed through the emails Katherine had sent her this afternoon.
"I’m sure, Larry."
"If you're doing this for me, don't care about me.”
"Partly because of you, but you're not the whole reason. I have affection for Juanton City."
Hearing Scarlett's words, Larry was silent. After a while, he continued, "Does Raymond have any plans?"
"Jean's words may not always be believable, Larry."
Larry was a smart guy. He understood Scarlett's words immediately. "I got it."
Scarlett hung up the phone and looked at Raymond, who was not far away. Scarlett popped up her arms on the desk and rested her chin on one hand, "What are you reading?"
Raymond was reading a book. He then showed her the cover of the book. When she saw the title, she exclaimed, "That's a good book."
Then immediately, Raymond put down the book and walked up to her. He looked down and stared straight at her., "But you know what, baby? I think nothing compares to you."
