Flirting With My Ex-husband novel Chapter 1150

Seeing that Stephen came up, Harley called out to him.

Stephen snorted, "Mr. Dane, you're so capable, aren't you?"

Neither humble nor pushy, Harley looked at the man and said, "I am serious."

"You've known Cindy for only one year. Now you tell me that you're serious. Mr. Dane, do you think I'm as foolish as her?"

The eavesdropper in the dark pouted. In Cindy's mind, her brother was the foolish one!

Harley slightly pursed his lips and said, " Not one but ten years."

Stephen froze for a moment and said," Harley, I know everything about you. Cindy didn’t know you at all."

"You’re right about that, but have you forgotten that winter ten years ago, Mr. James?”

Stephen didn't let his anger cloud his mind. "Ten years ago, we..."

Halfway through his speech, Stephen suddenly remembered something and asked, "You were that boy?"

"It was me.”

Harley paused and continued, "Mr. James, you don't have to worry about it. Given the wealth and power of the James family, it's easy for you to deal with a small potato like me. If I fail Cindy, you can come and punish me. My possessions and my life will be at your disposal."

His speech was grandiloquent, but Stephen was satisfied to hear it. "Easier said than done."

Harley dropped his eyes and said, "Mr.

James, I'll keep my promise. You'll see."

Harley was as cool as a cucumber. Stephen lost his tongue and snorted, "Remember what you said today! If you dare to trick Cindy, I’ll make sure that you’re utterly discredited!"

With that, Stephen glanced at Cindy, who was hiding in the corner and said, "Come out. Time to go home!"

He glanced at the driver in the front seat and ordered, "Drive."

The car slowly ran away. Cindy lowered her head and fiddled with the rose petals

Stephen turned sideways, looked at her coldly, and asked, "Do you really like

Harley?"

Since he had asked her twice, Cindy was no longer that shy. "Yeah, I'm not stupid. If I didn't like him, I wouldn't have accepted his flowers."

"But you've known him not for long! How much do you know about him?"

"I've known him for five years! Back in college, I heard about him and have worked with him for over a year. I know what I'm doing, Stephen!"

Since Cindy was so determined, Stephen stopped advising her further.
