Scarlett hadn’t expected Caroline to be dumped by Devin. Scarlett didn’t feel guilty at all.
Scarlett used another person to deal with Caroline.
Caroline had also schemed against Scarlett because of Devin.
Thus, Scarlett just paid Caroline back.
"Devin is not a good person."
Raymond spoke coldly while sitting in the car.
Scarlett leaned back in her seat, inclined her head to look at him, and laughed. "Are you jealous?"
It was dark outside. Raymond's face looked gentle in the warm yellow light.
"Yes."
He nodded and directly admitted it
Scarlett was embarrassed. "It doesn't matter to me whether he is a good person or not."
Raymond's face softened after he heard this, but he seemed unsatisfied."
Remember to go around him when you see him again."
"Okay, if the road is wide enough."
Raymond contentedly withdrew his eyes, started the car, and drove home.
A week had passed in the blink of an eye. Although Scarlett had given Katherine full authority to manage Mornet, Scarlett had to attend some negotiations for acquisition projects.
Raymond also got back to work at Tenton lately. Seeing Raymond finally come back, Frank almost hugged Raymond and wept out his grievances.
Scarlett thought the acceptable price was 4.2 to 4.25 billion dollars.
Meanwhile, Katherine came in with someone.
"Ms. Reed, this is Mr. Howard and his secretary, Ms. Moody."
Seeing Caroline, Scarlett crinkled her pretty eyes, smiling at Brycen Howard. "Mr.
Howard, nice to meet you."
Coincidentally, Scarlett and Caroline soon met again.
Scarlett glanced at Caroline with a faint smile. "Ms. Moody, what a surprise."
Caroline hadn't expected that Scarlett would negotiate with them personally. Caroline's face turned sullen as she thought about what had happened not long ago.
