Lola had been in showbiz for several years and met a lot of people. She had known very well how to use her pretty face since she was a kid. Because her eyes were big and round, she looked innocent and pitiful when she fixed her eyes on others attentively. She could always get what she wanted with this tactic, but for the first time, it failed.
The man didn't even look at her, as if she was a jinx.
Lola knew that she couldn't be compared to that beautiful woman. Yet, Lola wondered why they felt no pity for her while she looked at them like that.
September had come, and the rain was not heavy, but the wind was cold because the manor was surrounded by mountains.
Lola wore few clothes. After falling, breaking her umbrella, and getting wet, she stood in the doorway, shivering with cold.
Fortunately, the crew members came over soon. They drove a sightseeing car in the wind. Lola's face was pale when she returned to her place.
Her agent, Sandra Farley, said worriedly," What's going on? I told you not to move around."
Seeing Sandra, Lola couldn't help complaining angrily, "I just wanted to take a walk. Damn it. I met two freaks." "Freaks? The manor is closed, isn't it? Only Alexander's friends, the cast, and the crew are here. Did you meet Alexander's friends?
Hearing what Sandra had said, Lola paused. "I don't think so."
Even if they were Alexander's friends, she didn't do anything wrong.
Seeing Lola's hesitance, Sandra felt uneasy, asking, "Have you gone to the eastern area?
Lola had a poor sense of direction. "No. Why should I go there?"
Even if Sandra hadn't said so, Lola would have hurried to change clothes. Lola was so cold on the way back.
Lola went back to her room.
The crew arranged a villa for the cast. The leading actress and actor were living on the second and third floors. Lola and her assistant were living on the fourth floor.
Sandra had just sent Lola away when someone came to the landing. "Is Lola here?
The person looked anxious. Sandra didn't know what had happened and thought that the director was looking for Lola. Sandra didn't want the crew to think that Lola was conceited, so Sandra hastily answered, " Yes. What’s up? Do you need her to get back to work? I'll call her down right now."
The woman shook her head. "Did Lola go out just now?"
