In the early morning, Kevan headed to the hospital. He was carrying the breakfast he had packed from the hotel. To his surprise, he found the room empty. He quickly stopped a passing nurse and pointed to the vacant ward. He asked, “Where did the patient ao? 

The nurses at this hospital were all experienced. Therefore, they were all older. However, when the nurse–a middle–aged local with 

extensive experience–saw Kevan’s face, she still showed visible admiration. 

“Wow, you speak the Aldovian language well. Your accent is quite charming as well” she complimented instinctively. 

Although Kevan hadn’t studied abroad, his grandfather had the foresight to hire an Aldovian tutor for him when he was young. This was to prepare him for expanding the company’s business overseas. 

The tutor was a native Aldovian speaker. He had a beautiful and sexy Aldovian accent. Kevan had learned his intonation perfectly. 

Kevan had received numerous compliments on his accent from foreign business partners. So, he didn’t react much to the nurse’s words. 

He simply replied with a cold “Thank you.” He then repeated. “Can you tell me where the patient went?” 

The nurse finally snapped out of it and said. “Oh, you mean Larissa? Well, her brother teck her downstairs for rehabilitation.” 

Kevan had learned from Lewis that Larissa’s leg muscles had slightly atrophied due to months of being bedridden. 

Fortunately. Il wasn’t severe. Her bones had healed, and now, she needed to focus on daily walking exercises to regain strength in her 

legs. 

“How long have they been gone? When will they be back? he inquired further. 

“It’s been about an hour. They should be back soon, You- The nurse was about to say more, but another nurse hurried over and tugged 

her sleeve. 

She urged, “Shely, Dr. Ramond has been looking for you for a while. Why are you still here?” 

Just before she was about to be pulled away, She.ly turned and blinked at Kevan, ‘Find me if you need anything. I’m Shely, remember that.

“I was just asking where you guys went,” he hurriedly explained, but Gary wasn’t interested in listening. 

Gary waved his hand and cut Kevan off. “Ainght, alright! Weren’t you here yesterday loa? Why are you back again today? is Microworks Corporation about to go bankrupt? Otherwise, why are you so idle every day?” 

Kevan was left sosechless for a moment.

too long since Larissa saw Gary leasing Keyan. She found herself oddly missing that somewhat sadistic sight. Perhaps it was because she enjoyed seeing Kevan being delealed and acting all pitiful, which was drerent from his usual alool demeanor. She couldn’t help but find it adorable. 

Nevertheless, she had to save him from further embarrassment. 

“Dad! She pretended to be angry as she glared at Gary, who immediately backed alle 

a grumble. 

Kevan’s heart warmed gradually seeing her standing up for him. He smiled. 

Alas, Gary was getting annoyed at Kevan’s smug appearance and wanted to scold him. But he didn’t want to be reprimanded by his
