"This is the Soul’s Crown."
Nux began, pointing at the artifact he had just created using the Power of Genesis as the base and his other racial memory-reading powers that he had devoured a long time ago.
"It is a delicate artifact that will read and record the wearer’s memories. When you wear it, keep in mind that you must not activate any form of energy. The moment you so much as move your energy, the crown will break.
Not just that, the Crown will automatically detect your age before it starts reading your memories, and if the amount of memories it stores is either higher or lower than your age, it will break."
"That is a good way of preventing any false memory implantation."
Sharnoth nodded. Not being able to use her energy and the limitation of having no extra or fewer memories than one’s age would make it almost impossible for any being to trick the artifact.
Nux just nodded.
Of course, he hadn’t reached a level where his creations would work on Eternal-Level Beings, but it wasn’t difficult to create a memory-recording artifact if the one whose memories are being read allows it.
"Remove your domain and the Chaos Energy from Khaemorr."
He instructed. Sharnoth nodded and did what she was told. Meanwhile, Nux teleported and appeared somewhere near Khaemorr. Of course, he still hid his location from Sharnoth. Even though the woman was being submissive, he still did not let his guard down.
His wives that were with him had already returned to his Universe.
In about a minute, the Chaos Energy that had mixed with Khaemorr’s Mana disappeared completely, allowing Nux to once again sense the entire world and use his Space Law to its fullest extent.
He sensed Sharnoth’s location and activated his Space Law. He teleported the Soul’s Crown right in front of her.
Sharnoth stared at the artifact in awe. The Power over Space was as strong and useful as it was before.
Slowly, Sharnoth grabbed the Crown and wore it just like she was told to.
The jewel on the Crown activated. Sharnoth closed her eyes, sensing the energy that had entered her body. She also felt that she could restrict this energy and even manipulate it because of how weak the energy was, but she very quickly realized that the energy was very deeply connected to the crown she was wearing.
The moment it was restricted or manipulated, the Crown would break.
’So that is what he meant...’
She nodded inwardly.
The artifact did its thing, recording Sharnoth’s deep-rooted memories from the time she was born. Since Nux wasn’t exactly an expert when it came to building things, the artifact wasn’t as fast as the Crown of Chronicles that Sharnoth had offered to use.
Instead of a few minutes, this artifact needed about 16 hours to record Sharnoth’s complete memory, and only once it was done did the last of the seven gems light up, signaling that everything was successful.
Sharnoth opened her eyes. To someone like her, 16 hours wasn’t a big deal. She just stared at Nux, who seemed to be cultivating while drifting in space as well.
"It is done."
She spoke.
Hearing her voice through the artifact, Nux finally opened his eyes. He nodded as he stared at the seven lit-up gems.
With a wave of his hand, the artifact returned into his hand and,
"Wait for me to call you back."
Saying those words, Nux ended the call and wore the Soul’s Crown, watching the memory it had just recorded.
...
It all started with darkness.
Of course, since that hadn’t happened yet, the child Sharnoth looked like a completely younger version of her mother, a fact that her father joked about quite a lot.
