"So what are we going to do now?"
After Azriel took the Progenitors away and only Nux and his wives were left, Astaria turned towards Nux and questioned with a curious look on her face.
Before, their plans were simple: participate in wars, find the worlds to devour, and be connected to Nux.
But now, when they were already connected to him…
Things changed.
"We will do what we were going to do from the very start."
Nux answered her question with a smile on his face.
"Huh?"
Astaria frowned.
Nux's grin then widened as he stared in a certain direction, and with a flick of his finger, he and his wives disappeared, only to appear far, far away, in an open void where everyone's eyes fell on two beings who seemed frozen.
"Wait…"
Astaria's expression changed when she recognized these beings.
One of them was the Leader of the World they had been to in their most recent mission, and the other…
It was a being who had tried to kill them—a Transcendent.
Nux's grin widened, almost turning demonic.
"You didn't think I would forget about them, did you?"
"This… is the Seer's work?"
Astaria questioned, somewhat overwhelmed.
After all, the beings in front of them were a Primordial and a Transcendent! For them to just… float in the void like frozen statues without having any way to retaliate was simply… absurd.
And to think this had continued for weeks.
"It is indeed."
Nux nodded.
"How is… one supposed to defeat someone like her…?"
The Swordswoman questioned.
It was her habit to try and compare herself with everyone who appeared in front of her. At first, she felt like she still had chances.
In the case of Nux, she had already given up, so it didn't matter. Then, Lord Azriel was the same; she knew she couldn't defeat him either.
She believed that it would put an end to it, and as she grew, she would be able to take on most beings in the Universe. But this…
Seeing the Absolute Domination, and all of it being so effortless too…
She wasn't very confident anymore.
Usually, at a time like this, her Master, Vyriana, would have cheered her disciple. After all, she, out of all people, knew that Astaria possessed a potential far higher than most cultivators she had met. But…
This time, even the Dragon was silent.
She couldn't say with absolute certainty that she or her disciple could reach the Seer's level. And it wasn't just her; even Nux, who could sense their thoughts, was silent.
He couldn't lie to his wives.
As much as he loved all of them, the Seer was… someone even he couldn't understand.
He didn't know if his wives could ever surpass her. Heck, he didn't know if even he could ever surpass her.
For now, however, he shook his head.
"You are barely a few thousand years old, Star. You burden your mind too much."
He then teleported Astaria right in front of him as he held her chin, bringing her face dangerously close to his.
"You just focus on cultivating, and I know you will be the strongest.
My wives aren't weak, especially you.
You have proven this time and time again, and you will prove it again."
