"We can sit here all day and discuss millions or billions of possibilities of what was supposed to happen and what did happen, but the problem remains the same.
We do not understand Time.
We do not understand what sort of existence that woman is.
You can continue to come up with a certain possibility, and I’ll probably come up with a way to counter it.
It’s a waste of time.
Let me trust my instincts with this one."
He spoke with a serious look on his face.
Then a smile appeared on his face and,
"And I know you aren’t trying to defend her. You couldn’t care less about other women; you simply wish to understand me and my thought process.
So I’ll give you a possibility of my own.
One day, I attracted that woman’s attention. Maybe it was indeed when I destroyed all those worlds ten years ago, or maybe…
It was way before."
Nux spoke, and as the rest of the women turned towards him, he continued,
"Maybe it was when that father of mine appeared next to me. After all, a being from a once-destroyed Supreme World came to a mere Saint; that ought to attract attention."
The women’s expressions changed, and Nux chuckled.
"Since then, she kept an eye on me, trying to find out everything there was about me. She eavesdropped on our conversations and thought of doing it till she found out everything about me so she could put up her little act.
But now, since I sensed her existence, she decided to stop hiding and started her act."
Nux then glanced at his wives and,
"So the reason she appeared was because she had no other choice. She never expected me to find her."
"But she already expected you to be able to sense her, didn’t she?"
"And how do we know that? Who’s to say she wasn’t just alerted by the times I intentionally tried teleporting next to her but failed to find her?"
Nux questioned, and Shadow turned silent.
"So you are saying…
She is not the Seer?"
"I wouldn’t be too sure."
Nux shrugged.
"But she… went to a High-Level World, and they couldn’t find her."
"That doesn’t exactly prove that she is the Seer. And even if she is the Seer who is supposed to know everything,
How can we be sure that the Seer knows everything about me too?"
"What…?"
Amaya frowned.
"If she were the all-knowing Seer, she had no reason to observe us, did she? She would have already known everything she wanted to know without having to stalk us."
"But you were the one who said that the Seer knew everything…"
Evane muttered.
"She might know everything about us, but not us.
That could also be the reason why she is so interested in us."
"Why would she not know about u—"
Amaya wanted to question; she, however, stopped in the middle as she realized something.
"We do not belong to the Universe."
"Exactly."
Nux smiled.
"The Seer knows everything and every being in this Universe.
But what about the beings who aren’t a part of this Universe?
Even the very Universe cannot sense our existence.
What if…
We aren’t even in those millions or billions of possibilities she sees?
What if… just like the Universe, we are anomalies for her too? Factors that she cannot calculate or see—hindrances even?
That would very much give her the reason to approach us and find out everything about us, no?"
