Taylor didn’t expect that the brilliant idea would come from him first.

Not a single person from the Holmes family had thought of it, and he couldn’t help but feel a bit proud.

So, he didn’t rush to head back. Instead, he took a stroll around the yard.

When he was very young, he’d seen the adults in his village choose locations to dig wells. There had been a large crowd, and the memory had stayed with him.

In his opinion, this orchard was a great spot to dig a well–it was just uncertain what the water quality would be like.

On his way back, Taylor called Tinley while sitting in the car to tell him about the idea.

If it weren’t already getting late, he would’ve gone to the Holmes family to check it out.

After hanging up, he absentmindedly patted the grapes in his basket as though they were treasures.

The large, beautiful grapes were so stunning that he couldn’t bear to eat them.

During the trip to pick the grapes, he hadn’t mentioned anything about testing them until Alex reminded him. That’s when he remembered.

The thought of these gorgeous grapes being sent for testing made his heart ache, even if it was just one.

But since Tinley had said so, he figured he’d pull one off anyway.

He turned to Alex in the front and said, “Tell them I’ll send the grapes to the research lab for testing. They can come pick up the report tomorrow afternoon.”

The research lab had all the necessary equipment and was much more professional. It had previously been used for testing the beneficial molecules in flowers, and the same could be applied to grapes.

As for the test results, he was indeed curious–just to see how impressive the data would be.

But the issue with the 100 thousand dollar price didn’t faze Taylor in the slightest.

With Yvonne’s products, it was always top–notch.

He knew that wealthy clients had contacted him in the past, willing to pay several times that amount for the flowers he’d cultivated, so the price of these grapes wasn’t really that high.

With no hesitation, Taylor took the grapes back to the research lab, walking alongside Alex into the office.

He planned to grab a bag later and cut some grapes for Alex to take home.

Yesterday, Alex had mentioned that his child had been having trouble eating lately.

The child had returned from school with a poor appetite, and despite being offered his favorite sweet and sour ribs, he refused to eat them. Normally, he’d eat two bowls of rice with them.

Alex had taken the child to the hospital, but the doctor couldn’t figure out what was wrong–just that the child’s appetite was

off.

For the past couple of days, Alex had been in touch with an old traditional medicine practitioner, and Taylor had helped him by connecting him with his apprentice.

Alex said he’d take his son to see the doctor after the holiday.

But now that Taylor had the grapes from Yvonne, he thought they could try them out to see if they helped with the child’s appetite.

Grapes are naturally sweet and tangy, and they could help regulate appetite.

If that didn’t work, they could always see a doctor later.

As they walked toward the office, Alex escorted Taylor downstairs. With the sky darkening, Taylor was fine at the research lab, so Alex was about to head home when he was called. “Alex, come with me upstairs.”

Alex was surprised by the request. He’d always thought of Taylor as someone who preferred to stay out of the limelight, so it was unusual for him to ask to be escorted upstairs today.

But Alex didn’t ask further because this was part of his job–escorting him upstairs would only take a few minutes and would ensure Taylor’s safety.

Though it was rare for Taylor to trip on the stairs, it did happen occasionally.

“Okay, I’ll take you up,” Alex said.

Taylor nodded, holding up the grapes and saying, “I’ll cut a small bunch for you to take home for your kid. Let’s see if it helps with his appetite issues.”

“You’re giving me the grapes?” Alex asked, stunned.

“For your kid,” Taylor corrected him.

Alex was still shocked but touched. He was happy, but he couldn’t help but remind Taylor about the grapes‘ high value.

“But this bunch is very expensive. It’s already worth 100 thousand dollars.”

Taylor waved him off dismissively. Something seemed to cross his mind, and a shadow crossed his face.

“Even if I don’t give them to you, Mike and the others will just take them from me as soon as they hear about it.”

Alex opened his mouth but stopped himself, thinking about how leaders would come up with all sorts of excuses whenever the Holmes family sent food and drinks.

He decided silently that he’d accept the grapes, even if he didn’t know whether they would help his son.

Back in the office, Taylor rummaged through a drawer, pulled out a pair of scissors, and cut off a small bunch of grapes for Alex. He bagged them up and handed them over.

When Alex saw the small bunch of grapes, his face lit up with joy, and he flashed a perfect smile.

He accepted the grapes with both hands, suppressing his excitement as he thanked Taylor. “Thank you, Taylor.”

“Alright, alright, go on now,” Taylor said, putting the scissors back in the drawer. He carefully placed the remaining grapes in a cabinet and locked it with a padlock–precautionary measures in place.

As Alex walked back, he felt lighter, almost like he was bouncing with joy.

Such expensive grapes, and Taylor had given them to him!

He decided that whether or not the grapes improved his son’s appetite, he would make sure to say they worked wonders when he came back the next day.
