Chapter 141
Chapter 141
As soon as Kelvin entered the Holmes family estate, he was promptly escorted away.
He handed Yvonne over to someone else and walked to the backyard with Wendy.
Since he had anticipated something like this happening, Kelvin was quite calm about it.
Along the way, he even had the leisure to admire the landscaping of the Holmes family estate, observing as he walked.
It was clear that ever since Yvonne returned, the estate had changed–it was not the same as before.
Not even considering the details, just the most obvious thing: the air here felt much fresher.
When they reached the door, Wendy opened it and invited him in, while she stayed outside.
Kelvin knew well that Tinley had invited him to meet for no reason other than to discuss a few things–things like Yvonne’s name and school.
However, to his surprise, as soon as they met, Tinley didn’t bring up any of those topics.
Tinley looked up at him, her cold and elegant voice carrying a hint of laziness and frost, saying something unexpected. “Mr. Adler, let’s talk about how your ex–wife harmed Yvonne a few days ago.”
That was an unexpected turn.
Though Tinley had been busy lately, she had always placed Yvonne’s matters at the top of her list.
So it wasn’t that she had let Melissa off–she simply hadn’t had the time for her yet.
And today, calling Kelvin over, her intentions were clear.
She wasn’t happy with how he had handled things.
Kelvin and Tinley’s conversation remained private, but when they emerged, their expressions were neutral.
Both were naturally deep thinkers, so unless they deliberately showed it, no one would be able to guess their thoughts.
Wendy walked over to Tinley’s side, following her silently.
Since they were so familiar with each other, Wendy could sense Tinley’s emotions.
At that moment, she felt that Tinley was in a rather good mood.
Tinley then walked to the front yard, where the three younger members of the Adler family froze when they saw her.
Except for Jeremy, the other two hadn’t seen her in many years and almost didn’t recognize her.
Once they realized who it was, they immediately stood up obediently and greeted Tinley.
They had heard about Tinley’s temper, so at first, they were a bit reserved.
But after watching her attitude toward Yvonne at the dinner table, they quickly stopped feeling scared.
Anyone who liked Yvonne couldn’t be a bad person.
Even if she was a bad person, she couldn’t be all that bad.

So, without a word, the three of them exchanged a glance and suddenly became enthusiastic toward Tinley

“Only a father truly knows his child” Kelvin, ohnerving their change in attitude, could guess what they were thinking
He’d really have to reconsider his parenting of them.
It was time to review where things had gone wrong and how he had raised them to be so naive.
Kelvin had a flight at 2:30 PM, so after lunch, he took Jeremy and left.
Not wanting Yvonne to be upset, he didn’t tell her.
Once they returned to the villa in Blorence City, standing in the room where they had lived with Yvonne for over a month, they both felt for the first time that there were many things wrong with the big house.
The large space felt empty and cold.
Kelvin, however, remained calm. Even if he felt a little down, he wouldn’t show it.
But his son–Jeremy couldn’t handle it at all.
Staring blankly for a few seconds, Jeremy, overwhelmed with frustration, suddenly turned and clung to Kelvin’s leg.
The bodyguards stood still in shock, watching as Jeremy cried out in despair.
His pleading echoed through the entire hall.
“Please, Dad, let me transfer schools!”
“How can I live without Yvonne?”
“Even if you suffer, you can’t make me suffer too.”
Kelvin, gripping his pants, looked down at his son’s shameless behavior. His previously calm expression quickly vanished, and his face darkened.
“Let go, he growled through gritted teeth.
“No, I won’t. Unless you arrange for my transfer, or I’ll pull your pants down, Jeremy was beyond embarrassed.
He didn’t care about the strange looks from those around him.
All he wanted now was to go back to Strate City.
Kelvin warned, “Jeremy, don’t make me hit you.”
Jeremy didn’t take this threat seriously.
A quick beating was a short pain, but living without Yvonne was a long, drawn–out one. He could distinguish between the
two.
Jeremy lifted his chin defiantly and replied, “As long as I don’t let go, you can’t hit me, because your hands need to hold up your pants.”
Kelvin was speechless.
His face darkened even further as he looked at his son, the way one might look at a stranger.
