Nell asked in return, “Her body is weak?”

Her gaze darkened as she looked at Cathy, who was hiding behind Sean.

Cathy tightly grabbed onto the cloth on Sean’s shoulder as she looked at Nell with fearful and restless eyes. She was hiding behind Sean, just like an innocent cat hiding behind a tree.

Suddenly, Nell began laughing.

Her laugh was scornful, yet desolate.

“You…are afraid of me?”

Cathy did not say anything. She kept on staring at Nell as she grew more frightened.

Sean was not pleased either. He hugged Cathy tightly, as if he was afraid that Nell would do something to hurt Cathy.

Jean walked upfront awkwardly as she attempted to pull Nell back.

“Nelly, don’t cause any more trouble. We were talking about serious business…”

“Shut up!”

Nell suddenly shouted in anger.

Jean was shocked.

She had fought with Nell many times in the past. However, that was the first time Nell had shouted at her in public.

She could not control her anger at that moment.

“Nell Jennings! What are you doing? Can’t you behave yourself when you are doing business with others? Go and sit down!”

Cathy furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at Nell confusedly. Even if she was afraid, she kept on acting politely.

Nell shook her head sarcastically.

“You can’t understand? Or do you refuse to understand? Cathy Morrison! I am your daughter. The daughter who you left at the Jennings family for at least ten years. Now, do you understand?”

Mr. Donnelly and Jean widened their eyes in shock.

Jean was in disbelief. She stuttered.

“Nell, no…did you say that she is…”

Nell had a cold gaze. “Yes! She is my adoptive mother. She is the young mistress of the Morrison family of Jincheng, Cathy Morrison. She should have died in a car accident eleven years ago! Now, do you understand?”

Jean had a shocked expression on her face.

Naturally, she knew about Nell’s past.
