Not long before, Mr. Donnelly was wondering about when he could meet Jean once more. Then, she appeared right before his eyes.

He went up to her enthusiastically. “Miss Leith, you are here. Please come in.”

To his surprise, Jean was in a bad mood.

Jean rolled her eyes.

“Of course. Did you think I have nothing else to do? Did you think that I came here for tea?”

She stopped before she turned her head to introduce Nell. “Let me introduce you to my niece-in-law, Nell Jennings. She is the president of Anning International. Do you know her?”

Mr. Donnelly was shocked.

He might not know Nell Jennings, but he had heard of Anning International.

The most important thing was not Anning International. Instead, it was that Nell was Jean’s niece-in-law.

Mr. Donnelly’s facial expression changed. He then said in a respectful tone, “I have heard a lot about you, Mrs. Leith. It is my pleasure to meet you.”

Nell grinned and shook hands with Mr. Donnelly.

She had to be on alert as Jean was too untrustworthy. As such, she had to be perceptive to confirm the other person’s identity.

Nell smiled. “Mr. Donnelly, right? Firstly, I came here today to talk about the jade mining collaboration project that you have discussed with my aunt. Secondly, I have a favor to ask from you.”

Mr. Donnelly nodded his head.

“No problem. Let’s continue this conversation inside.”

Nell nodded her head and followed him into the guestroom.

In the guestroom, Mr. Donnelly asked his secretary to bring some tea for the guests. He then asked nonchalantly, “May I know the favor that Mrs. Leith has requested?”

He was a clever man. He knew that Jean might have come up with an absurd proposal, but now, Nell was also present. That meant that they were serious about the collaboration project.

Since the collaboration project was set in stone, he had nothing to worry about.

Before that, he should ask about the favor that the client was requesting.

If it was something that he could do, then he would willingly provide assistance. After all, the Leith family rarely asked someone else for help. If they had to ask for help, then it meant that they could not settle the issue on their own.

Now that it was returned, they might even think that she stole Cathy’s pendant out of greed.

After all, the jade pendant was not valuable. If she was friends with Mr. Donnelly, then she definitely was not poor. In addition to that, she could stroll around a stone gambling site. She must be lying!
