Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 961

Jean Leith arrogantly snorted and said, "That's more like it."

Just then, Ben Hellen came looking for her, so she let him take her arm and wiggled away.

Sean Miller helped Cathy Morrison and went to the lounge in the back.

As soon as they sat down, Sean asked with concern, "How are you? Is there anything wrong with your body? Nothing uncomfortable, right?"

Cathy shook her head and smiled up at him.

"Sean, I'm really sorry that I've caused you trouble again today."

Sean frowned and looked a little upset.

"How many times have I told you? We’re husband and wife. It's only right for a couple to help each other out. What do you mean you're causing me trouble?"

He paused, then sighed and said, "Moreover, it's obvious that the woman’s unforgiving, yet you still let her."

Cathy smiled faintly and said, “Based on her dressing and her mannerism, she doesn’t seem like an ordinary person. We just got back to the country, so we shouldn’t cause trouble. Moreover, today is Mr. Donnelly’s event. He’s here for business and she’s his customer, so we’d best not offend the customer lest we hurt Mr. Donnelly’s fortune.”

Of course, Sean knew what she was thinking, but he could not help but feel distressed at her stoic appearance.

He was smart enough not to continue this topic and patted Cathy's hand.

"Sit down for a while, I'll go get you a glass of water."

Cathy nodded her head and saw him off.

Soon, Sean came back with a cup of water in his hand and another middle-aged man behind him.

Although the man was Asian, his eyes were deep, his nose was high, and had some Western features, so he looked mixed.

He smiled as he walked in and let out a hearty laugh.

“Since you guys are already here, you need to take a walk around. You don’t know, but I’ve specially asked for someone to fix up the venue. The front is the gambling grounds, and the back is a manor I built myself. You guys can stay at my manor for this period. I bet you guys will absolutely love it."

Cathy stood up and smiled slightly.

"If Mr. Donnelly said that it’s good, it’ll definitely be good. We’ll have to trouble you this time we’re back."

Mr. Donnelly waved his hand nonchalantly and said, "Eh, what are you saying? What trouble? If not for Dr. Miller, I would’ve died in the desert. Speaking of which, I owe you both my life."

Sean's eyes were gentle as he said, "It's nothing."

"It’s nothing to you, but to me, you’re my savior."

The three of them sat down and chatted.

Five years ago, Cathy Morrison and Sean Miller went out for a trip and inadvertently saved Mr. Donnelly, who was dying of a snake bite in the desert. They brought him back to the castle for treatment, thus a friendship formed between the trio.

Mr. Donnelly’s mother was from China. This time when Cathy and Sean went back to China for a visit, they did not know anyone, so they contacted Mr. Donnelly. At least he was someone they knew who could guide them.

After sitting for a while, Mr. Donnelly suddenly said, "Oh right, just now, I heard someone making noise outside and I found out it was you guys.

Cathy's face changed, and Sean also frowned.

Cathy smiled and said, "It's not a big deal, but I just got separated from Sean and was in a hurry to find him, then accidentally bumped into a lady. I hope it didn't affect your business."

Mr. Donnelly waved his hand and said, "That’s fine, but I know the lady you're talking about."

Cathy was stunned.

At that moment, both Cathy and Sean's face changed.

Sean stood up with an unfriendly expression and said, "She still wants to look for trouble, doesn't she? Cathy, sit here and don't move. I'll go out and teach her a lesson!"

"Sean!"

Cathy pulled him back, afraid that he might stir up trouble due to his impulsiveness.

Mr. Donnelly raised his hand and said quietly, "Don't worry, I'll go out and take a look first. Besides, this is my place, so even if anything happens, I'm still here, so there's no need for you to do anything."

After he said this, he walked out quickly.

Cathy pulled on Sean to sit down. She felt anxious. Just then, she heard a delicate female voice coming from outside.

"So, you're the owner of this place. I've been looking for you for half a day. I have something important to discuss with you."

Mr. Donnelly smiled and said, "Miss Leith has come all the way here, please forgive me for not welcoming you properly. I wonder what you’d like to discuss with me?"

"It's not convenient to talk here. Let's go in and talk."

After she said that, she did not care if Mr. Donnelly was in the way and walked into the lounge.

As soon as she entered, she saw a man and woman sitting on the sofa.

Mr. Donnelly followed behind and hurriedly explained, "Miss Leith, let me introduce to you. These two are my friends, Ms. Cathy Morrison and Dr. Sean Miller."

Cathy smiled awkwardly and politely at her, but Sean kept his unwelcoming demeanor, looking as if he treated her like an enemy and wanted to do something at any time.

Jean Leith raised her eyebrows, a little surprised.
