"Grandpa!"
As soon as Flora entered the door, she jumped at Grandpa Brooks.
The old man stood up trembling, caught her, and burst into tears.
"Oh, my darling granddaughter. You're finally back!"
Flora buried her head in his chest and the two of them were weeping tears of joy.
After they wept, Grandpa Brooks lifted her face and looked at her as if he was looking at a piece of treasure.
“Let me take a look. Are you hurt anywhere? You’re alright?”
Flora shook her head and said, "I'm fine, Grandpa. These two brothers saved me."
As she said this, she turned her head toward Gregory and Gideon.
Grandpa Brooks smiled happily and said, "I know. They’re Grandpa's friends. I asked them to save you."
Flora heard this and gave them a grateful glance.
At this time, Grant Lennon, who had been silent, yelled, "Brooks! You killed my grandparents and my father! You and I are enemies! What's the point of tying me up like this? Untie me if you can, come on! Let's duel! Do what you did with your best friend back then and fight! Come on!"
Grant went crazy and tried to rush forward but Gregory held him firmly in place.
Gregory kicked him in the crook of his leg which made him kneel on the ground.
Only then did Grandpa Brooks turn his head to look at him, but his eyes were cold and calm.
"Grant Lennon, you keep saying that you want to take revenge but let's not talk about what you're doing now. Are you even seeking revenge? Or just talk about your father, what does his death have to do with me?"
Grant sneered.
"You dare to deny it? How dare you say that you didn't secretly send someone to kill him?"
Grandpa Brooks said, "I, John Brooks, have always acted openly and honestly. If I killed someone, I’ll never deny it, but if I didn't, don't even think about blaming it on me."
"Nonsense!"
Grant's eyes were anguished but Grandpa Brooks did not seem to care about him anymore.
He turned to look at Nell.
"Since you’ve rescued Flora as promised, then I should naturally do what I promised you before."
As he said that, he took out the piece of Arcane Jade from his pocket and handed it to her.
"This is what you want, keep it."
Nell was delighted and accepted it. She said solemnly, "Thank you, Grandpa."
Grandpa Brooks smiled and did not say anything.
Beside him, Grant Lennon was agitated.
"It's the Arcane Jade!"
His pupils dilated and mumbled something. He was like a madman staring at the piece of jade in Nell’s hand.
"It really is the Arcane Jade! That's mine! Give it to me!"
Grant said this as he struggled to rush toward Nell.
However, how could Gregory let him have his way?
He gave Grant another kick and another punch, and directly knocked him to the ground. This time, it was difficult for him to get up again.
Gregory said sternly, "Grandpa, I have a request to make."
Grandpa Brooks generously raised his hand and said, "Please, tell me."
Gregory turned his gaze to Grant Lennon, who was lying on the ground with a pale face. His gaze was unrelenting and said, "I feel that this person is very much like a member of my rival, so I’d like to bring him back for a proper interrogation. I’d like to ask for your permission."
In the next second, a knife was stabbed into Grant's thigh.
He screamed and his face paled. His body shook with pain and his cold sweat swished down.
Gregory was still smoking a cigarette in the same impassive manner.
"You don't have to tell me now. We have so many ways to slowly work around you. If you don't believe me, you can give it a try."
Grant gritted his teeth and stared at him. After a while, he spat.
"You want to get information out of me? Dream on!"
Gregory's eyes narrowed and he smiled faintly.
"So, you really have another identity?"
Grant choked.
Gregory smiled again and continued. "There's no hurry. I told you, I can take my time with you."
He signaled again and right after that, Harold pulled out the knife that was stuck in Grant’s thigh and stabbed it into his calf.
Grant's face turned blue with pain and his veins popped out from his forehead. He was also sweating profusely as if he had just come out from a sauna.
After giving birth, Nell could not stand to watch such gory scenes, so she coughed and said to Gideon, "Let’s go for a walk."
Gideon nodded and got up, then they walked out of the room together.
Two more screams came from behind them.
Nell's heart also jumped twice. Gideon held her hand tightly and whispered, "Without this method, we won’t be able to pry his mouth open."
She nodded her head and said, "I understand."
Her face was still a bit pale. She looked at the long corridor in front of her and whispered, "I just felt a bit uncomfortable when I saw the blood and couldn't breathe very well. I’ll be fine after getting some air."
