Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 822

As a result, Vickie spent four years in jail.

In her heart, she suddenly felt that it was ironic.

She looked at Gregory and asked, “Do you really believe that I pushed her?”

Gregory’s expression was cold and hard. “The facts are right in front of us.”

Out of the blue, Vickie started to laugh.

Her laugh was sarcastic and sorrowful as she sat there quietly like a pale paper kite.

She said softly, “Four years ago, you didn’t believe me. I thought that now, after four years, the reason why you came to me again and forced me to stay with you is that you’ve realized your mistake and hope that we could start over, or that you hoped that I would accept you again.

“But now, I realize that I am too naive. No matter how long it has been and how much one has experienced, those who once didn’t believe in you would never believe in you in the future.

“Gregory Graham, I don’t hate you. I really don’t. I just find it funny that you can never see what others can see clearly.”

She paused as if she did not even have the strength to say another word.

She did not want to explain anymore.

A silence fell around her.

Vickie could not be bothered to stay here any longer, so she turned to Andrea and said, “Let’s go back.”

Once Andrea agreed, she pushed the wheelchair, and together, they left.

That night, the chateau was noisy for a long time.

In the middle of the night, there were still sounds of people coming and going beside the auxiliary building, as well as the sound of a woman crying.

Vickie knew that it was Yuliana’s maid busying about, and it was Yuliana selling her grievances to Gregory.

She sat in front of the French window in her bedroom, looking at the night outside, unable to tell what she was feeling right now.

When she agreed to stay back then, it was impossible to say that she did not have any hope in her heart.

There had been so many incidents, misunderstandings, entanglements, rights, and wrongs. She was so tired, she could not be bothered anymore.

In her heart, she thought that it would not be a bad thing if she could let go of the past and start over.

Now, she finally understood that in this world, there were not many fresh starts.

Once things happened, they were like a thorn that was stuck in your heart.

When the time comes, the thorn would appear and remind you of how painful it was, even if it looked fine then.

Vickie closed her eyes.

After a long time, she took out her phone and dialed a number.

“Hey, Little Eight, it’s Vickie. I need you to help me with something.”

At the same time, on the other side.

Yuliana sat on the bed, looking aggrieved.

The doctor quickly gave her CPR upon arriving, and when she woke up, Gregory had her sent back to her room.

Now, she had already changed her clothes and drank the ginger soup to ward off the cold. So she just sat there, waiting for Gregory’s punishment.

She knew that she could fool others today, but she could not fool Gregory.

As for why the man was playing along with her, she still was not clear.

Thinking about this, she could not help but look up at the man.

He sat on the opposite sofa with an indifferent aura and dark eyes.

Feeling slightly guilty, a long time passed before she asked in a low voice, “Gregory, what’s wrong with you?”

Gregory asked, “Why did you do that?”

Yuliana stalled.

In her heart, she wanted to say, ‘Well, men really are all stubborn and reluctant to admit mistakes.’

However, that was good. This way, it was easier for misunderstandings to arise between the two of them.

Thinking about this, she looked around and said, “Should I apologize to her tomorrow? Since you’re so reluctant to let her feel sad, I’ll apologize and let her take it out on me so she won’t be sad anymore.”

Yet, Gregory’s expression suddenly darkened.

He said coldly, “Don’t approach her.”

After saying that, he stood up and before Yuliana could react, he had already turned and strode over to the door.

Disappointment surged into her heart, but just then, Gregory suddenly paused and said, “The birthday of the Old Madam of the Flinders residence is in five days. I’ll bring you over then. As for what to do, you should understand yourself.”

Yuliana’s heart hitched.

Her face changed. “So soon?”

Upon realizing what she said, her expression shifted slightly again and she looked at him carefully.

“Didn’t you say that you’ll allow me to test her for you and we’ll go over once the result is out?”

Turning around, Gregory looked at her coldly.

He sneered. “Did you really think the reason I agreed to you was that I didn’t know if I still had a place in her heart?”

Yuliana was stunned.

Then, she heard Gregory’s cold and deep voice.

“I met her when she was eight-years-old, and I know exactly what she’s thinking and doing. I don’t need an outsider to prove anything to me. The reason why I agreed to you was just on a whim, for I also wanted to see her jealousy, and now that goal has been achieved too.

“As for that bet, hah! You’ve never had a chance of winning. I advise you to give up and put your thoughts on Shimon Flinders instead. Maybe you’ll even find a way out.”
