“Yes, but it can’t be a real ice house. I mean someplace as cold as an ice house, like a chilly cellar.”

Sean thought for a moment and shook his head.

“You’ve stumped me. I do have a cellar here, but it isn’t chilly. You must understand that we’re in a desert. It’s impossible to find a cool place in a desert.”

At once, Spencer frowned when he heard Sean’s reply.

“What should we do now? Without a proper environment, this thing won’t grow successfully.”

Gideon said in a deep voice, “Does it have to be planted in that sort of place?”

“Yes.”

Gideon pondered and suggested, “In that case, why don’t we change the place? Back in my home country, there’s a villa with very similar geographical conditions.”

“Home country?”

Spencer’s expression altered suddenly and he shook his head.

“No, I’m not going there.”

Gideon was puzzled.

Nell asked, “Why not?”

Spencer looked upset. Sean seemed to recall something and offered a suggestion. “Going back to your home country is out of the question. How about this? You take this thing with you. Once you’re done with your research, you bring it back to us.”

Spencer’s eyes lit up.

“That’s possible.”

At the next second, however, he paused and turned to regard Nell and Gideon.

“But do you trust me with it? It’s widely known that this thing is a treasure and priceless. I don’t know how you obtained it, but I dare say that hardly any of such things remain in this world. If I take it with me and don’t bring it back, you’ll suffer a great loss.”

Nell gave it a thought and smiled. “No worries, since we’ve decided to seek your help, we must trust you, Mr. Nolan.”

Spencer beamed with delight.

“Ok, it’s settled, then. Don’t worry, I’ll take this matter seriously and update you whenever there’s news.”

“Alright.”

A decision had been made and there was nothing else to say.

Spencer was an efficient man. Once he gave his word, he decided to do it without hesitation.

Therefore, instead of staying overnight, he sent someone over to collect the plant. After that, he boarded the night flight to the city he resided in.

That same night, Nell called Vickie and told her about this incident.
