Soon, Gideon poured a glass of water and came over.
He held the glass and lifted it to Nell’s mouth.
Nell was too lazy to raise her hand, so she took a few sips of water from the glass until her throat was moisturized, then she pushed it away.
He put the glass on the table beside him and took a jacket.
“It’s getting colder outside, put this jacket on. Don’t catch a cold.”
Nell nodded and put it on submissively, then she pushed the blanket aside and got out of bed.
“Are you hungry? Dinner’s almost ready, shall we go down and eat?”
“Okay.”
Two of them held hands and went down the stairs.
In the living room downstairs, Lizzy sat on the couch as she was watching her favorite cartoon.
Little Viemond was struggling and making noise as he tried to finish his incomplete lego at the side.
When he saw them coming down, he put down his toy immediately and ran toward Nell and Gideon.
“Mommy, daddy.”
Gideon was a step faster, so he carried Little Viemond when he was halfway through.
“How many times do I need to tell you? Don’t pounce on mommy. She’s pregnant. What happens if you pounce on her and she falls?
Nell laughed. “How can I fall so easily?”
Unexpectedly, Little Beanbag turned, and said, “I didn’t want to hug mommy. I wanted to hug daddy.”
He kissed Gideon on his face as he spoke.
Gideon. “...”
Nell could not help but laugh behind him.
Gideon’s face darkened as he lightly patted Viemond’s tiny butt.
“What a sweet talker.”
After the three of them came down, Cathy walked out of the kitchen.
“You’re awake, Nelly. Sit at the dining table. Dinner’s almost done.”
Nell nodded, then they went to the dining room together.
Cathy was in a good mood for the past two days, and dinner was prepared by her personally.
When Sean came from the garden behind and saw the delicacies on the dining table, a rare smile appeared on his face.
“It’s so rare that Cathy cooks, but it’s not for me. Tsk, I feel sad just by thinking of it.”
Although he said so, his hands did not stop, and it reached straight for one of the dishes.
Cathy complained to Nell. “You see? This guy wants to eat and tease, and I don’t know how many mouths you have that you can be eating and talking at the same time.”
Nell laughed cheerfully when she saw the two of them quarreling.
Sean snorted. “I’m telling the truth.”
Cathy did not bother to pay attention to him. She turned her head and asked Lizzy, “Is grandma’s cooking tasty?”
Lizzy nodded her head vigorously.
“It’s delicious. It’s as good as what mommy cooked.”
Cathy laughed instantly.
“Such a sweet mouth.”
Nell smiled as she placed a piece of broccoli in Lizzy’s bowl.
“You can’t just eat meat. You need to eat your greens. Understand?”
Lizzy nodded, and Little Viemond pushed his bowl forward.
“Mommy, I want broccoli.”
Nell got one for him.
At the side, Gideon’s dissatisfied voice came.
“They got it already, what about me?”
Nell choked, and she stared at him in an unsatisfactory way.
The family finished dinner early and had fun for a while. They took their time to leave when it was almost time and drove to the theatre.
It was scorching during the day, but chilly at night.
Sean did not need to stay in the laboratory at night, so he came along.
The timing was just right when the group reached the theatre.
Nell let Gideon buy some snacks for their two Little Beanbags, they had it in their hand and ate it while searching for their seats.
Naturally, Cathy reserved the best seats for them, and it was right in the center of the third row from the front.
It was not too near or too far away. They could see the performers’ expressions clearly from their position.
Lizzy was very excited, she pulled Nell’s sleeve and whispered, “Mommy, am I able to see fairy sisters later on?”
Nell was not willing to break the innocence from the child’s inner heart, so she nodded with a smile.
“Yes, so later on, you must watch closely. Understand?”
“Okay, I understood.”
Lizzy sat upright, waiting wholeheartedly for her fairy sisters to appear.
Nell and Gideon sat side by side, and Little Viemond was on the other side, Cathy and Sean were further away.
Soon, the audience was all seated.
The lights were dimmed, Nell sat there and looked at the stage carefully.
The sound from the surroundings suddenly quietened down, and it gradually became silent once there was a beam of light on the dark stage.
Soothing and melodic music slowly went off, like a girl singing softly from a distance, coupled with a euphonious piano sound, it gave out a unique taste.
A group of dancers dressed in white came on the stage from the curtain behind.
Nell’s lips moved.
She thought it was going to be a typical performance, but from the looks of it, it was turning out to be interesting.
