"Relax, Lon. Everything is going to be perfect. Trust me!" Mercy comforted the anxious Waylon, who was busy checking if everything had been prepared perfectly.
Waylon sighed deeply as he looked at Mercy and chuckled wryly, "I hope so. Do you think that she will be happy when I tell her the truth?"
Mercy felt complicated as she looked at Waylon, hiding her emotions from him, but still smiled as she answered him, "How could it be? It’s not like you meant to lie to her!" her tone filled with earnestness.
Waylon sighed with relief when Mercy said that and smiled relievedly. "That’s good. I hope that it all works well!"
He said as he looked around the restaurant, beautifully decorated with flowers, balloons and photos collected throughout the three years that he had been together with his girlfriend.
Mercy, seeing that Waylon was in a better mood, smiled faintly at him before saying, "She should be arriving anytime soon. I better leave!" though she felt reluctant to leave like that.
Waylon was unaware of Mercy’s feelings. He was just nervous about this date. He nodded at her and responded, "Um. I will see you tomorrow. Thank you for your hard work!"
Mercy acknowledged with a grunt before picking up her handbag and leaving the restaurant with a complicated gaze.
As she walked out of the alley, she couldn’t help but wonder how the date would end.
"Are we really not fated?" she asked wryly, letting out a mocking sigh as she unlocked the car, which was parked a short distance from her.
Filled with dejection, Mercy boarded her car and took deep breaths before driving away, wanting to escape from that place as soon as possible.
As the car drove away, she passed another black luxurious car and gave it a few glances before continuing to drive away.
Meanwhile, the black car drove into the parking lot where Mercy just left and parked in the same spot.
Sitting inside the car were a lovely couple being very affectionate with each other.
"Baby, just wait for me. I will be back in a jiffy!" the woman coyly coaxed as she hugged the young man donned in expensive jewelry. He looked like a thief attraction.
The young man looked dotingly at the woman and reluctantly nodded while answering, "You better return fast. I have given you so much time to end things with him and yet you have been dragging things for a long time!"
The woman lovingly looked at the young woman as she shook his hand coaxingly. "I am doing it today. You know that ever since I have been with you, I barely spent any time with him."
"Then why today?"
The woman chuckled slyly as her eyes flashed with a murderous glint. "Heh, I have been wanting to hurt his heart. Who made him make me suffer for years? If I don’t crush his heart tonight, I won’t feel that well!"
When the young man heard that, his eyes lit up and a glint of satisfaction flashed in his eyes.
"That’s my girl. You better do that fast and return to me. We still need to have dinner!"
The woman chuckled heartily when she heard that before smooching the other on the cheek. "I will be right back!"
After coaxing her man, the woman alighted from the car, holding a branded handbag in hand. She was well dressed and donned in brands from head to toe. It was impossible for people not to notice.
She slightly lowered herself, peeping into the car, revealing her blessed chest, which made the man in the car gulp, lust in his eyes as he thought about many things.
When the woman saw that, she smiled triumphantly and said, "I will be back. Wait for me darling!" before straightening herself.
Moments later, the sound of heels clicking on the tarred road sounded as she swayed her body, walking towards the alley.
As the woman sauntered her way there, a black SUV turned into the parking lot and, after driving for a while, parked somewhere with fewer cars.
Inside this car was Diamond, who just happened to find this area pleasing to the eye and wanted to find a restaurant to have dinner at.
While he waited, he couldn’t help but look at the balloons on the wall showcasing the ’HAPPY THIRD ANNIVERSARY’, reminding him of how long she endured by his side.
