Diamond and Wyatt reconciled and came to an agreement.
After dealing with their differences, they held hands like good friends and returned to where the group was nervously waiting for them.
When they got there, the others were relieved upon seeing that they were back to normal, but they didn’t dare bring up the topic of what happened.
They were all adults and understood why Wyatt flared like that. Besides, some of them were embarrassed after relaxing the source of Wyatt’s worry.
Nonetheless, they didn’t forget to give their congratulatory remarks and also share some melons with her.
"I don’t know what happened to Razor, but after the race, he left. I just saw him leaving alongside his friends. Do you think that he will avenge this loss?" Maya shared the piece of news, worry written all over her face while she looked at Diamond.
Diamond shrugged as she looked at the other and helplessly responded, "Avenge, what exactly? It’s not like I was driving for him. He is the one who drove messily. If someone should avenge, it’s me!" her tone sounding wronged.
When Maya heard that, she froze and her complexion paled for a bit, which was caught by Diamond before it returned to normal. "I didn’t think it was like that. I guess there is no need to worry."
Diamond’s lips curled upwards as she noticed something she hadn’t before. ’This place is truly interesting!’ becoming curious about Maya’s suspicious behavior towards her.
"It’s normal to lose, anyway. He would be petty if he tried more tricks after this."
"Everyone saw that he was the one who didn’t know how to drive. How could he put such kind of label on us?"
"I bet that he was just ashamed. Anyway, I am happy seeing him like that!"
Diamond laughed with the others as she listened to them. Razor had offended a lot of people before, so it wasn’t surprising to hear that he wasn’t liked.
While it was fun to be together for a long time, some of them still needed to go and race, so they bade farewell before slipping away.
Diamond, Wyatt, and the other four remained after everyone left. They were finally at ease.
"When will you be going home?" Mike asked curiously, recalling that she had spoken about going early before.
Diamond smiled wryly at Mike before answering, "In a moment. If I leave early, I will be home before midnight."
The guys nodded. Diamond loved very far unlike them, who didn’t drive for a long time. It would be better for her to leave early. It was dangerous to drive late at night.
"Um, the sooner the better. We will record the race later and send it to you!"
Diamond grinned at Dan when he said that. She also looked forward to seeing Wyatt’s last race and if he would win.
She looked at Wyatt and pumped her fists. "I will be cheering on you. You must win!"
Wyatt smiled earnestly as he reached his hand to ruffle her head and said, "I will win for you!"
"Good, and make sure to collect our winnings once the races are over. We should have made a lot of money!" Diamond greedily said in a reminder as she recalled that they had placed bets earlier when the races started.
With her mentioning the bets, the five guys remembered that they had done something like that. Their eyes lit up at the thought of the winnings they would be living tonight with.
"Don’t worry. We will collect every single penny!"
"That’s good. You know my account details," she said as she threw a wink at Wyatt, who chuckled heartily at how she was a money grubber when she was that rich.
’It’s not like we are parting forever!’ she cheered herself, and a smile appeared on her face.
’Why does it seem that Razor came here to target Diamond? Could there be any grievances between the two that I don’t know? Who is messing with her and for what purpose?’
