Ruby beamed as she looked at the guests who were attending her sister’s birthday.
Although the number of guests was pitifully low compared to the number of people who attended her birthday last year, it was still better seeing that there were people who cared for her sister.
These people could be considered to be the people in Diamond’s circle.
Just like what her sister said before. Quality before quantity. It’s better to have one true friend than a bunch of treacherous friends.
As today’s host, she just hoped that she would make the party more enjoyable and that everyone would have fun. So that when they look back to this day, they won’t be filled with endless regrets.
"Hello, everyone. Thank you for coming today. I am Ruby Perry, Diamond’s little sister, and the MC of today’s party. I hope that you will enjoy it," Ruby calmly said, addressing the guests without any hints of nervousness heard in her voice.
As someone who had been hosting broadcasts with thousands of people, wouldn’t she embarrass her family if she failed to address eighteen people in total?
"You look great, Ruby!" Selena excitedly called out, her eyes sparkling and giving the other a thump up.
She didn’t know where Ruby got that dress of hers, but damn, it looked very pretty. She wanted a copy.
Ruby smiled as she winked at Selena, enjoying the comment. For this day, she had prepared so much. It was only right to hear such praises.
"I want to welcome everyone who had come to attend this birthday party in earnest. Thank you for taking your time from your schedule. We truly appreciate this," she said and gave the guests a light bow.
Due to her sister’s forgetting that she was supposed to have a birthday party. The guests were invited a bit late. It was possible that some of them had to drop what they were doing to come to the party.
Seeing them attending despite all that, she was grateful.
"It’s not a problem. Diamond is our good friend. How can we not attend?"
"That’s true!"
Ruby grinned when she heard that and felt warmth coursing through her body.
She felt grateful.
"That’s wonderful," her eyes crinkled into a smile before adding, "before I call in the birthday girl. I will talk about today’s program, which will only take a few moments of your time."
Ruby then shared with everyone what was on the agenda, which wasn’t much.
Once she was done explaining and making sure that everyone understood, music started playing in the room and it sounded very sentimental.
It was a new sound, something that they had never heard before, but they liked it.
What kind of song was it?
They all couldn’t help but wonder. However, at that moment, the same door Ruby emerged from opened once again.
Just like last time, all eyes fixated on the door, not wanting to miss for a moment Diamond’s appearance.
Seeing everyone eager like that, Ruby’s lips curled upwards, wondering the kind of shock these people would face once they saw her.
She remembered clearly when Diamond appeared in the living room. Everyone was in a daze, at a loss for words. It was spectacular.
Surely, history repeated itself once again.
As the moment Diamond exited that door and joined the main room, a collective sigh of exclamation rang throughout the room.
’She is beautiful!’ Wyatt complimented as he looked at Diamond waling that flawless gown flowing along with every movement she made.
