Diamond was thinking of escaping to her room and visiting the Golden Space for some alchemy sessions.
Unbeknownst to her, Ruby, her dear sister, had other plans for her.
Just as she was about to state her intentions, Ruby was faster than her as she looked at her with a worried expression which made Diamond’s heart ache.
What happened to her?
Did someone bully her?
So many questions appeared in her mind and a murderous glint flashed across her eyes for a moment as it got cut when Ruby finally voiced out her concerns.
"Sister, I have something bothering me. I want to ask your opinion about investments. Which one do you think is the best? Equity, debt or hybrid," she asked curiously and nervously as she looked at Diamond, her tone filled with anticipation.
When Diamond, who was thinking about something deadly, heard that, she was stunned for a moment before a smile appeared on her face. f .r e\ewebnov(e)(l).c om
As long as no one was stretching his or her hands where they shouldn’t, then it was fine.
As for investments, how could she not know a thing or two?
She was someone involved in the business, after all. Although she didn’t participate directly, she was studying seriously. Otherwise, it would be pointless for her to look at business reports now and then.
Just because she didn’t like managing the businesses didn’t mean that she was a no-brainer.
Besides, the question that was bothering her sister was pretty much easy for someone like her.
So, once she heard it, she didn’t hesitate but replied directly, hoping that what she knew would be helpful to Ruby and perhaps to the twins as well.
"Each type of investment is good in its own way. However, I will touch on equity first," Diamond said as her eyes shone. This time, she didn’t even use Andrea.
The girls looked at Diamond with anticipation. Diamond, seeing that, felt that it would be shameful if she got help for something like that.
Brimming with confidence, she continued, "When it comes to this type of investment, just like any other kind of investment. It has its own advantages and disadvantages.
When you invest in equity, there is an opportunity to get high returns, dividend income and ownership of companies.
Among all these, which I like is the ability to earn dividends monthly, quarterly or yearly, depending on the agreement. However, having these dividends in my case would guarantee a fixed source of income. As long as the company is operating, I would be entitled to getting something until the end of the contract. In some cases, you can earn dividends by the end of time. Until the company declares bankruptcy or closes. Either way.
At the same time, by investing in equity, you can end up owning the whole company in the end even without putting in much effort. How could that not be enticing?"
Equity financing was dangerous to the company getting the funds. It was easy to get the company stolen by the shareholders. As long as you buy enough shares, then the company can change hands.
That was why she objected to having anyone else jotted down as a shareholder in her companies.
The risk of losing the companies was high. People’s minds were hard to read, that was a fact.
"It’s also risky investing in equity. Despite the wonderful benefits that we get by doing so, we should also consider the drawbacks, such as the change in market trends.
Since we invested in shares, any change in the market can affect the company’s standing. It is very easy to drop from being a millionaire to a pauper in less than a day.
So, when you invest in shares, anything can happen. As much as you want the dividend income or owning the company, you need to remember that the market isn’t your home background.
There are no guaranteed returns. You get the returns depending on how well the company did in that period. So, if doesn’t do well, can you guess what you would get?" with her lips curled into a sly smile on her face, she asked the girls who were listening to her attentively.
