Raising her head to look at Diamond, Chrissy nervously said, "But...." Unfortunately, she didn’t get to finish as Diamond cut in. "This will not harm me, trust me!"
Chrissy, hearing that firm tone which sounded pretty confident, decided to leave it at that. Since Diamond wasn’t worried, then maybe she should trouble herself as well.
Walking and dragging their suitcases, the two friends pushed aside that story and continued to talk about other things.
Chrissy was older than Diamond by three years. She was twenty-nine and a resident of Strawford City.
Although the two didn’t exchange a lot of information, Diamond discerned that Chrissy was rich. She might not come from a prominent family, but she was definitely the hard-working kind.
Chrissy made her feel curious and honestly, she couldn’t wait to learn more about her.
Waiting for an Uber to come and pick them up, Chrissy suddenly received a call, and it sounded urgent.
Diamond, seeing that, urged Chrissy to deal with her matters. She was still in the city for a couple of days, so they could still see each other.
"Are you free tomorrow?" after exchanging numbers, Chrissy asked Diamond.
Diamond shook her head as she licked her lips for a second before answering. "I have a show to attend tomorrow. So maybe the other day!" revealing a bit about the reason why she was in the city.
Surely when Chrissy heard that, her eyes lit up as she asked, "What kind of show is it?"
As a traveler, she had attended a lot of events. So, she was quite curious as to what kind of event Diamond would be attending.
But when she heard Diamond’s answer, she was once again stunned. She couldn’t contain herself and asked directly right there and there, "Are you perhaps a singer?" uncertain about what Diamond did, but recalling how nice her voice was, Chrissy could only think of that profession.
Otherwise, why would she be going to a music show where singing was done for hours?
Diamond burst into a chuckle as she listened to that. Seeing how puzzled the other was, she could tell that the other was probably suffering seeking an answer right now.
Since she liked Chrissy, at least for now, she couldn’t watch her with such an expression, so she took out her phone and typed something on it before fishing it back into her pocket.
"You check that and learn what I do!"
And that was the last thing Diamond said to Chrissy before boarding the Uber, which arrived just in time.
As the two of them were going separate ways now, Diamond decided to take the Uber and let Chrissy fend for herself.
Sitting inside the Uber, Diamond told the driver where she wanted to go and the man took off beautifully.
Chrissy looked at the phone and then the Uber, which had already left, and sighed dejectedly.
After a while, she swiped the phone’s screen and clicked on the message that had been sent to her.
’How many followers are those?’ looking at the figure at the top of the page, Chrissy had to rub her eyes incessantly just to make sure that her eyes weren’t playing her.
