Diamond watched amusedly as Ruby stood frozen in place for a while before urging her friends.
"Andrea, take a video of Ruby! Hehe, I am going to keep this. Let her remember to listen to her sister next time!" Diamond slyly ordered with a smile.
Now that she had the means to rescue her family, all the anxiety and worry was gone. It was now replaced with joy. And seeing Ruby shivering from a distance, she just wanted to tease the other.
[Okay!]
Diamond then waited patiently for Ruby and her group of friends to arrive.
On Ruby’s side, she was still in shock as she hurriedly ran with her friends towards the bus she had seen earlier and even heard her friends admiring her while she was calling her sister.
Was her sister really there?
Where did she get the bus? There was no way a bus like that could be seen in Taco. It was the kind that could be seen maybe in major cities. She had seen a few of them in Frin but never expected to see her sister in one.
Just what was her sister hiding from them?
"Are you sure that your sister is on that bus?"
"What’s up with all the questions? Won’t you be able to see it once we are there!"
"If I had known it would rain, I would have spent the day with the others at home!"
The girls complained as they continued to run to the bus. f r\eew,eb novel.c(o)(m)
After a while, the group finally reached the bus. And as if there was magic, the door opened itself revealing the exquisite interior within.
Ruby had her eyes on the driver, very curious whether her sister was the one driving or there was another driver she didn’t know about.
"OMG!" she exclaimed, her eyes brightening up while her mouth went agape with surprise.
’Sister is the one driving the bus! Where did she get it?’
"Get inside! Aren’t you afraid of the cold?" Diamond scolded upon seeing Ruby and her friends standing there frozen.
"Ah!" Ruby woke up from her trance before hurriedly entering the bus.
As soon as she climbed onto the bus, she was welcomed with a warm breeze that began to instantly warm her cold body.
"Get inside you, guys!" Ruby urged as soon as she was inside.
Ruby’s friends entered the bus and crowded Ruby as they didn’t know where to go. The interior was simply too beautiful, that they felt ashamed of soiling the furniture with their wet clothes.
"Ruby, settle your friends in the lounge. Mom and Dad are at the back. Go and check them once you are done checking on them," Diamond instructed Ruby as soon as everyone was inside.
Ruby flashed a grin at Diamond before urging her friends inside.
Diamond shook her head helplessly as she looked at the girls who seemed to have something to say to her but were a bit reserved to say anything.
Once the girls were gone, Diamond didn’t linger around anymore but had Andrea start the bus.
Ruby settled her friends first before she rushed to the back.
After knocking for a moment, she heard her mother’s voice.
Ruby then opened the door and smiled tearily upon seeing her parents sleeping cozily on the bed.
The three reunited and chatted for a while before Ruby returned to her friends.
She couldn’t leave her friends alone. Her sister obviously would be busy with driving. Besides, if she wasn’t there, how would her sister know where to drop her friends?
So, she passed her friends first and went to the front where she found Diamond holding the steering wheel.
"Oh, you are done?" Diamond asked without taking a look at Ruby.
"Hugh. I am done," Ruby absentmindedly responded as she looked at the front window.
What was she seeing?
Why did the road look so clear as if no rain was falling anywhere near them?
What was going on?
She couldn’t help but ponder. However, she didn’t dare ask her sister as well. What if she was just hallucinating because of the chill she got from the rain?
"Where should I drop your friends?" Diamond asked as she readied the GPS.
