SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS novel Chapter 176

Chapter 176: Chapter 174

Days quickly passed and soon it was the day that got everyone resting and others gnashing their teeth as it resembled the year nearly coming to an end.

It was finally Christmas and people were busy. Streets were decorated with colorful lights and in most houses, especially of those that could afford them, pine trees stood tall as they were decorated, showing the festive mood.

Inside Diamond’s house, the colorful lights were blinking everywhere, making them look like traffic lights. Fortunately, the decorations were only done in the living room and outside the house.

Some of the major rooms didn’t suffer and ended up with the lights or the decorations. Diamond had sternly refused when Ruby suggested getting those irritating lights in her room.

How was she supposed to sleep peacefully with all of them blinking every second? She would rather celebrate the holiday than torture herself to that extent.

There was even a tree in the living room, and Ruby went to great lengths to decorate it.

It looked so beautiful that even a biased Diamond couldn’t help but praise it and took several photos of it.

She even posed at the tree and got herself several good photos to post later.

On Christmas day, everyone woke up early, though Diamond was up earlier than the rest.

The family of four weren’t planning on going out, but just celebrating the day in the house. It was the first Christmas they were celebrating together in four years, so they all wanted to enjoy this moment.

No one knows what the future holds, so every single second counts.

On this wonderful day, the lazy Diamond who had barely done her laundry, cooked or washed dishes was the one who was in the kitchen.

Even her parents were quite shocked to see her there. In fact, she banned everyone from getting to the kitchen.

When her mother and father came downstairs, they found Diamond, who was done with her morning exercises and shower, already in the kitchen wearing an apron and sorting out ingredients.

She had declared to them at that time that she would be cooking and no one was allowed to disturb her until she was done.

In other words, ever since Diamond took over the kitchen one hour ago, the three Perry family members had no single clue as to what she was doing.

In fact, they were dying with worry that they couldn’t even concentrate on anything.

Ruby was no different from her parents. After all, apart from the time her sister cooked for them when she returned to Taco after three years, she had never cooked again.

In fact, she had not seen Diamond cooking at all, so it was not one hundred percent absolute that she was the one that cooked.

After living with Diamond during the whole holiday, it has been Aunt Janet cooking for them. When they weren’t eating at home, Diamond would buy food. She had never cooked before. So, was she going to be okay?

"Let’s just wait patiently and see!" that’s all Richard could say as he looked anxiously towards the kitchen.

Inside the kitchen, Diamond was having a blast.

On the 24th, the day before. When she signed in, Diamond never expected to receive such an inconvenient lifestyle skill that would help her in whatever situation she was in, or at least wherever she was.

She signed in and received advanced cooking skills. She had never prided herself on being a good cook. She cooked palatable food and with the delicious ingredients; it was guaranteed that the food would come out wonderfully.

Nevertheless, she knew herself pretty well and cooking wasn’t really her forte. But when the system gave her the skills, she wanted to prepare a banquet for them and let them have a taste of what the daughter they had spoiled could actually do.

She knew all the sacrifices her family made for her from day one. How she was blessed to have such an understanding, a brilliant young sister who had never hated her for being their parents’ favorite when she wasn’t anywhere on par with her.

If she was Ruby, she didn’t know what she would have done to herself. Jealousy and envy were some things that could be achieved easily. Anything can make people envious and what they might do after that would be disastrous.

So, she was glad that Ruby was a good little sister who didn’t let the favoritism get to her head and hate her to death.
