While the mother and daughter were busy teasing each other, Diamond made her way towards her father. The man that she had always known to be gentle, loving and well deserving to be the best father of all time.
Diamond smiled as she plunged herself into her father’s arms.
"Dad! How have you been?" she asked as she enjoyed her father’s embrace.
Richard hugged his pretty daughter and felt emotional. How time flies, but he was glad for everything that happened.
His family was rich and, above all, happy. His daughter mostly was responsible and cared more for others. As a father, how could he not be touched?
"It’s been relaxing, but I have missed you girls!" he said as he patted her head.
Diamond pulled herself away from her father as she sulkily glared at him.
"I am not a kid!"
"Yes, yes, yes. My baby is an adult. How could I forget about that?" Richard played along as he rubbed her head once again.
"Dad, you ....!"
"Hahaha, Dee, you don’t look like an adult at all!" Ruby interacted with a peal of hearty laughter.
Diamond turned and glared at Ruby, who was laughing her guts out.
"I will deal with you!" Diamond threatened.
"Hehe, Mom and Dad are here!" Ruby stuck her tongue at Diamond.
No matter what, there was no way she would be scared of Diamond. With Mom and Dad there to oversee everyone, Ruby’s confidence was way over the charts.
Belinda and Richard watched as the sisters teased one another and a sense of pride filled them.
The two used to be not close before. Since they grew apart and Diamond stayed for three years away without returning home, the girls only communicated through the phone.
And with how biased they were towards Diamond; it was not surprising if Ruby had grown up disliking Diamond. Fortunately, the sisters were getting along with each other, and to them, that was something worth seeing.
"Stop playing! Let’s go inside, or do you want to burn under the sun?" Belinda urged the sisters, who seemed to be having too much fun playing in the sun.
The girls stopped and looked at their mother with sheepish grins.
"Hehe."
"Carry the bags and hurry up!"
In the end, the sisters got reprimanded for playing too much in the sun as they pulled the suitcases alongside their parents into the villa.
The parents helped the sisters to their respective rooms before they went downstairs to continue preparing the meal.
Diamond didn’t bother to unpack her clothes but went for a shower first. The sun was simply too glaring. It was as if it was showing off. And she was grateful that she had worn a sun dress instead of the overall she had wanted to wear before.
When she was done showering, she picked another sun dress and got rid of the hat.
After that, she took out some flip-flops and wore them. Done with changing, she left her room and went to join her parents.
She didn’t join them to cook but sat comfortably as she watched the husband and wife feeding her dog food.
She wasn’t interested in cooking at all. After cooking for herself for a very long time and then having someone else do it for her, cooking no longer thrilled her.
So, despite disliking being fed dog food by her parents, she wasn’t willing to go elsewhere. She just wanted to watch them for a little longer.
Ruby later joined them downstairs and the two sisters quietly watched the parents until they were done.
The sisters, however, helped to bring the plates to the dining room and helped to set everything.
With the food brought to the table, everyone got seated and lunch began.
No one observed the table manners. If they couldn’t even be free when eating, what would they say they are doing?
So, the family of four talked about Frin, and how fun the city was.
In the end, it was basically Ruby talking while the three of them listened.
After lunch, Ruby volunteered to do the dishes, and Diamond accompanied the parents. With how well her manicure was done, there was no way she was willing to have any washing detergent on her hands.
"So, how is business? Anything bothering you yet?" her father asked as he sat relaxedly on the sofa.
"Everything is well. I haven’t met any setback so far," Diamond sincerely told her father.
"Rejuvenating pill will help you dad to keep yourself energized. We wouldn’t want you breaking down any second, would we?" Diamond said teasingly as she looked at her father, who was grinning at her. fre\e(w)ebn ov.e l\. co.m
