Diamond was quite surprised when she learned of Clarissa’s background. She came from a literacy family also known as a scholar family.
The family had been involved in grooming thousands of great leaders throughout the centuries.
It was their reputation, and the hoarded riches from generations, that made them very reputable and famous.
At the moment, Clarissa’s mother was a well-known professor at Frin International University. Her father was a research scientist and was very busy throughout the year.
It was only in her generation that they steered away from the family tradition and started venturing into other industries.
Her older brother was running a business, though it was basically more on providing online education to students. It was quite popular, and he was earning a lot of money through it.
Her elder sister became a gynecologist, and she was famous in her area. The third born was another sister who recently graduated and now working at a law firm.
Lastly, it was she who took a completely different path than her siblings and went into fashion.
Not only was she into fashion, but she had somehow become a socialite in the process, and the spotlight was very addictive.
Madam Sawyer was Clarissa’s aunt by marriage. She married her father’s younger brother, who unfortunately passed away a decade ago. Leaving Madam Sawyer childless and a widow.
Madam Sawyer never remarried but continued her husband’s legacy.
Her husband was an avid art fan and his love of promoting art to the world was a legacy that Madam Sawyer, a former painter who hurt her hand during the car accident that took her husband’s life away, continued.
The two families were more like neighbors and they had been living together harmoniously for a very long time.
Besides, Madam Sawyer was a nice person to be around, so Clarissa especially liked the woman more.
When Diamond saw the villas next to each other. She was amazed by how creative and imaginative the architecture was.
Although the villas looked smaller than her Cherry Court villa, she could see that a lot of effort was put into building every single house she saw.
Madam Sawyer’s dinner party was an event that was literally held every year. So, she was always well prepared for it.
There were one hundred guests invited to the party, and Diamond was surprised to see new faces that she had not seen earlier at the gallery.
Luckily, there were Richard and Clarissa by her side who were very eager to provide her with information.
"Some people were invited to only the exhibition or the dinner party. While others were invited to both. It’s not everyone that loves having fun the whole day," Clarissa answered Diamond’s inquiries she had not voiced out.
When Diamond heard that, she found the approach to be quite good. That would solve a lot of problems and keep everyone engaged or at least interested in the event.
"That actually solves a lot of problems. I will consider doing it like that in the future," Diamond said with admiration as she looked at the many people walking with smiles on their faces.
"Hehe, when you hold an event, don’t forget to invite me. It won’t matter where I am. I will come for you, darling!" Richard whispered against her ear while glancing at Clarissa provocatively.
Clarissa just hmphed, no longer taking Richard’s antics to heart. After battling for a while, she started to realize that Richard just loved trouble. As long as she ignores him, he will stop targeting him.
And surely, upon seeing Clarissa no longer responding, he quickly lost interest.
"I will invite you, don’t worry!" Diamond readily accepted.
She had never hosted anything in her life. She used to have no real friends before, but now that was different.
She couldn’t wait to host something and invite all the people she had befriended to witness her majesty, or at least accompany her on such a beautiful day.
Her birthday was two months away, so maybe she should start thinking about where to host her birthday party.
She wanted it to be grand, memorable and a day people would never forget.
The three of them entered the villa under the wham ushering of the maids dressed in black and white.
Since Clarissa was Madam Sawyer’s niece, Diamond and Richard didn’t need to move around like headless chickens.
Instead, Clarissa took the two of them to a guest room that had been specifically set aside for her in the villa.
Since Madam Sawyer was mostly by herself since she didn’t have kids to accompany her, Clarissa had a room in the villa. That way, she could accompany her whenever she could.
Diamond admired the room and found whoever designed the room’s taste to be quite acceptable.
Diamond took the time before dinner and started to freshen up. She took out some of her toiletries from her storage ring and used them to do some touches, though it wasn’t necessary.
After refreshing herself, she exited the bathroom and joined the two people quarreling like kids and siblings as well.
